Ya, sure, and it IS a decent enough yard stick. Although if you weight say 160lbs, and all you do is box, you don't need 160g of protein a day, you'll be metabolizing a lot of it. The problems that it brings won't really get you now, but they'll come back to bite you in the ass years from now.Comment

Like SERIOUS weight training? The rip the **** outta your muscles weight training? I lift weights to help me train and such, but I'm no weightlifter... if you know what I mean.

ye, that's fine enough then, although it may affect you in your old age... But **** that, I take more than I should now, just to make sure I get enough. I don't intend on winning any belts when I'm 80 anyways...Comment

Protein should be measured by weight.
I gram fo protein for every pound you weigh per day.
ie: 160 pounds = 160 grams of protein a day if you're working out everyday.Comment

I like the way you think Trick. As for you Crooklyn, I can't say your wrong and I'm right cause certain things work more for different ppl. If you are really taking in that much protein, then I hope your the best you can be in whatever it is you do. Personally I don't think it is worth it unless you accept the fact of what might happen in the future. For example, you probably know people that train constantly on creatine; Fact is most likely they will be ****ed up in the future if they don't stabilize how they use it. Which comes to my point in saying, you don't need 1g of protein per day. I'm not saying it doesn't help, but it would be foolish to think your absorbing every bit of protein you take. So if you say your taking 160g of protein a day, chances are your not. Alot of everything having to do with getting ahead of the competition is in your head but you already know that. Lastly too much of ANYTHING is bad for you. You don't NEED 1g of protein to be your best. These scientists that claim that got us all ****ed up in the head thinking that way. I'm not an expert, but I know what I'm talking about. 1Comment
