Any fighter can earn a few good wins and get a title shot that doesnt make them the next big thing though they have to overcome adversity and prove their worth something none of them accept Eubank did. The best fighter Joe has ever faced was a washed up Eubank and thats the truth, Kessler is the next best thing in everyones mind so why does he choose not to fight him and go after Manfredo and a washed up Jones or a washed up 44 year old Hopkins?

The "next big thing" is 9 times out of 10 a publicity routine to garner more at the gate, at best...........................Rockin'

      You liar.

Brewer anihilated Echols! Anybody who's seen that fight will tell you that Brewer was robbed blind. 99 out of 100 referee's would of stopped the fight in Brewer's favour in the second round, and 99 out of 100 referee's would not of stopped the fight in Echols favour in the third round.

      Watch the fight, dip****.

Two North American websites had Mitchell winning 7 rounds, Ottke 4 rounds and one even.

Mitchell came into the fight known as a big puncher.

then you would look at facts not expectations. And as you have said he fought many times on Showtime well I have had showtime the past 10 years along with HBO and have seen most all fights whenever they are on. I dont think I have missed an HBO fight including PPV in over 2 years

Ottke and Beyer wanted nothing to do with him. Those guys are European ****s, you know the score.

            Mundine??

Echols he was supposed to fight, but fought Brewer instead.

            Kessler? Who cares.

            Green??

****ing crazy. Calzaghe had bigger fish to fry than those guys, nobody cares about those guys, Joe wanted the Jones Jr's, Hopkins's, Tarver's, Johnson's, Lacy's etc.

No one in the US cares about Calzaghe.

They care just as much about seeing 4-title unification fights then they do either Joe or Kessler.

Taylor's fighting in December, Joe easilly could have fought Kessler in early 07 and still looked to fight whoever he wants after.

It's a great match up between undefeated Supper Middleweights, and would unify all 4 major titles, making it the only division in boxing with that distinction at present.

Nothing you can twist is going to downplay the signifigance of that fight.

PS: Admit you're a Calzaghe fan.
Peter Manfredo is a MUCH bigger name Stateside than Mikker Kessler, is he not?

                The excuse train rolls.

This is a lot of justifying for someone who's not "a fan".

99 out of 100 referees wouldn't have stopped Mitchell in the Calzaghe fight. Calzaghe was in worse shape when he went down.

It's quite funny to watch you dart back and forth across the street in your massive justification dance.

Nobody cares about Kessler in Britain or America.

Reid and Woodhall were big fighters in Britain and Taylor and Hopkins are big fighters in America.

Kessler is a big fighter in Denmark, but Calzaghe isn't interested in earning respect in Denmark.

                  His hero's are the Ali's, Leonard's, Hagler's and Hearns's.

You're delusional, and you can't even admit you're a Calzaghe fan.

His resume was borderline meidocre, and he missed more fights in his own division than anyone in reccent memory.

And then we're supposed to believe it was everyone that avoided him?

Just like when Tarver was available before he signed to fight Hopkins and Joe was busy calling out Glenn Johnson to fight at 168?

                    Get out of here.

You're a delusional Calzaghe fan who can't evern bring himself to admit he's a fan.

Did you have some kind of point?

You've never seen Kessler fight. You're an idiot.

He's got 2 of the 4 titles, and wants desperatly to fight Calzahge to unify. It's the most importnat fight availabale at 168, and would set the division apart in the sport.

You're failing to make a point, and when you add in you don't know anything about Kessler and haven't seen him fight, you only underline my point.
