Ive seen Joe fight why would you say that without knowing? It doesnt matter what people THOUGHT of his opposition before the fight, their records as well as the way they fought when they fought him proves everyone wrong. I dont care how big your heart is and how many people tell you your great and the NEXT BIG THING your not until you prove it and none ever proved it in big matches. Any fighter can earn a few good wins and get a title shot that doesnt make them the next big thing though they have to overcome adversity and prove their worth something none of them accept Eubank did. The best fighter Joe has ever faced was a washed up Eubank and thats the truth, Kessler is the next best thing in everyones mind so why does he choose not to fight him and go after Manfredo and a washed up Jones or a washed up 44 year old Hopkins?

The "next big thing" is 9 times out of 10 a publicity routine to garner more at the gate, at best...........................Rockin'

Brewer anihilated Echols! Anybody who's seen that fight will tell you that Brewer was robbed blind. 99 out of 100 referee's would of stopped the fight in Brewer's favour in the second round, and 99 out of 100 referee's would not of stopped the fight in Echols favour in the third round.

Two North American websites had Mitchell winning 7 rounds, Ottke 4 rounds and one even.

then you would look at facts not expectations. And as you have said he fought many times on Showtime well I have had showtime the past 10 years along with HBO and have seen most all fights whenever they are on. I dont think I have missed an HBO fight including PPV in over 2 years

When you look at Calzaghe's sub par resume over the last 8 years or so, you notice that he was at Supper Middleweight the entire time, yet managed to miss encounters Sven Ottke, Eric Lucas, Markus Beyer, Anthony Mundine, Antwun Echols, Mikkel Kessler, Danny Green.

Ottke and Beyer wanted nothing to do with him. Those guys are European ****s, you know the score.

Once again, you know NOTHING of what Calzaghe's rep is like in the US, just like you know NOTHING of Kessler, having not seen him fight (lol).

No one in the US cares about Calzaghe.

They care just as much about seeing 4-title unification fights then they do either Joe or Kessler.

Taylor's fighting in December, Joe easilly could have fought Kessler in early 07 and still looked to fight whoever he wants after.

It's a great match up between undefeated Supper Middleweights, and would unify all 4 major titles, making it the only division in boxing with that distinction at present.

Nothing you can twist is going to downplay the signifigance of that fight.

99 out of 100 referees wouldn't have stopped Mitchell in the Calzaghe fight. Calzaghe was in worse shape when he went down.
