    Calzaghe deserves respect

"I was pounding the valleys at 2 in the morning, until well gone 3 in the morning every day for months: through the rain, snow and fog! While everybody else was tucked up warm in bed! Jeff Lacy was probably tucked up in bed, having completed his work on the treadmill at the health spa in sunny Florida. No comparison! I was prepared to go to war, he wasn't.. not truly. That was the difference. That's what it all came down to. He wasn't prepared for me, not truly. So he soon went into his shell and that allowed me to shine. He wasn't prepared for 25 years of dedication and frustration being unleashed onto his skull and face. If I didn't keep pumping my arms when I was running those mountains, I'd of died because it was so cold out there. I could feel it in my bones! That's the kind of condition I got myself in. It was my destiny, I had sacrificed my whole life for boxing and had a lot of frustration throughout my career and I'm telling you, he'd of had to kill me that night to beat me!"

I once went out with a girl from near Newbridge. You have to be tough to survive the women up there.

Still, fair dues to the bloke. It takes some dedication to do that.

It's pretty much nailed on he's fighting Taylor next year. Much bigger fight in every sense of the word.

And Calzaghe does deserve respect. Calzaghe-Taylor to me right now is bigger than De La Hoya-Mayweather. That will be a terrific fight.
Geoff, how will Calzaghe approach this fight? What problems does Taylor pose for him?
Of course I know the fight is not signed, but I'm going on the assumption it will be.

                    Bigger then Oscar vs. Floyd?
Calzaghe v. Taylor may be a better fight which I would agree with in terms of watching but the biggest event in the sport is Floyd vs. Oscar but again I dont expect you to understand this...why? Cuz your from Kentucky.
