Peter Okhello????? This is worse than Valuev taking Beck as his first defense. Although I never saw Okhello fight.

Since when did going 18-4 in Japan get you a shot at a WBC title?

If evander Holyfield took a fight like that, even at age 44 people, you people would be crucifying him right now.

He is one of the worst, but the worst? Hell no.

Those are the fighters Evander SHOULD be fighting, sad to say.

Maskaev should be fighting someone ranked in the top ten, not that being ranked means a whole either these days, as it seems.

Maskaev is trying to cash in on his title while he has it. I can't say I blame him, but it isn't good for boxing one bit. We need unification, not more bull**** soft title defenses.

What if Okhello gets lucky and beats Maskaev? That just makes the division even more of a joke. I don't blame the fighters for wanting money, but something needs to be done to make the system fairer. Even Maskaev himself did very little to deserve a title shot.

Neither did Briggs. All he did was talk and knock out journeymen. Not to bring up Briggs again but really he didn't deserve a shot either.

Peter Okhello would not surprise me if he beat Maskaev. Nothing can surprise me in this division.
