Margarito is not a bum and anyone who says or thinks so should watch another sport because you will never be able to fully appreciate what it takes to be a fighter.

Floyd beating Baldomir was a step in the right direction. Beating Margarito will be a bigger step. Margarito is just better than Baldy. Regardless of belt-ownership.

Floyd Mayweather is going to whoop Margarito, plain and simple! When floyd beats Margarito people will discredit Margarito, because other than Paul Williams that will be all the Mayweather haters last chance at seeing Floyd go down. I used to like Cintron, but Margarito showed he was garbage, while Margarito is "Good", Mayweather is "Great"...and he is going to do Margarito something similiar to the way he did Corrales...

Do you want to know what Eubank said to Benn after their first fight?

Seriously, even if Mayweather beats Margarito decisively it will say little about Margarito, since losing nine or ten rounds of twelve to Mayweather does not a bad fighter make. And if this happened there would likely be instant Paul Williams fans. Is this answering what you're asking?

Something like that. I agree that it doesn't mean alot if you lose to a really good fighter like Mayweather, but some delusionals think that Margarito is the greatest **** to ever pop onto this planet, and could beat him. These are the same people saying Baldomir would win because he's tough. **** toughness, if you have two left feet and are slower than molasses it doesn't mean a damn thing. Gatti's tough, didn't do him much good.

people are clamoring over size and one punch ko power. Alot of mexican fans on this board also are pushing for one of their own to beat mayweather which i can understand. Basically, its sad that the only way floyd has a chance of losing is to people bigger than him and stronger than him, rather than being more skilled than him

The first time that a major fight between a hispanic and black fighter really drew barriers was Duran-Leonard, the first in a series of racially charged fights. All Central Americans and Mexicans will go for Margarito because he represents the tough "I don't need no stinking skill" attitude, whereas Mayweather is a smooth technician of the sweet science. It's more a cultural machismo thing.
