Interesting.
Mayweather in the class of the Leonard's, Nunn's, Whitaker's and Toney's?

Now that Mayweather is starting to talk about bull**** retirements he is getting closer to Leonard.
When he will be able to choose the size of the ring and the number of rounds of a title fight (while being the challenger), or offer (and get) rematches on short notice making sure fighters dont have time to lose weight, then he will be on Leonard's level.Comment
PBF is in a class of his own. Whitaker, Ali, SRR, Toney, SRL all have multiple losts. PBF has no losts and rarely gets hit. His competition has been pretty tough. He has beaten 4 future hall of famers.
Who are they?Comment

Mayweather has won five world titles at four different weights - that speaks for itself.
He also dealt with Zab Judah, who on his day is the best in boxing outside of textbook skills (and was once considered a better prospect than Mayweather), and ended up beating him down.Comment

He beat the best at Jr. Lightweight, Lightweight, and Welterweight. Judah and Gatti's straps were worthless and don't count as "World Titles".Comment

It really gets me pissed thinking back a few years, even a year ago, when 140 was the best division in boxing by far and looking forward to Tszyu, Mayweather, Harris, Mitchell, Gatti, Hatton, Cotto et al clashing and bashing.
I wish Mayweather stayed at 140 and hunted Hatton and Cotto, then he'd of really proved himself.Last edited by GEOFFHAYES; 11-07-2006, 03:30 PM.Comment
