he needs at least 3" A" fighters on his resume.... leanord beat hearns hagler and duran.. toney beat nunn mccallum, jiriv holyfield , peter, and went from middle to heavy and stayed there.. sweat pea was alot like mayweather but left handed which made him more effective but mayweather can do more.. but i still think sweet pee is more effective...i guess i have to go **** my self .. becuase as much as i would like to get exited about mayweather he hasnt fought anyone besides castillo in my book .. he needs to fight jermain taylor or winky wright i think 147 and 154 are week weightclasses.. i would even be happy if he fought hatton

Benn could have taken him, yes; but Toney did take him.

I edited on to my last post to further explain what I mean.

Nope. I'd have Nunn ahead of Whitaker, Tyson, Taylor etc.

Guy was smooth as.. smooth as. His handspeed for a middleweight was second to none, and his footspeed for a 6ft3 guy was second to none, and his reflexes were fantastic too. And he was so slick, and the Master of the left uppercut (equal accuracy to head or body).

Lol, I actually typed 'second to none' without even thinking it was his alias! I read it after I posted and recognised. So fitting.

He had a huge physical advantage over his opponents, and he used it effectively, but you can't say he had the raw talent of a prime Whitaker, that's just ******.

Whitaker, Roy Jones and Mayweather are the most talented fighters since Leonard.

When Leonard stopped fighting for a living (IE. his common retirements) Boxing NEEDED Whitaker, just like it needed Leonard when Ali had retired.

Talent is one thing, that's breeding and genetics, and training to an extent. True champions are champions through and through...and that's a quality that can only be tested in the trenches when the chips are down.
That's some **** that Eubank would say.

                      Chris Eubank would disagree.
