I couldn't find the Ali SportsCentury on Youtube, so I looked up some info on Google and these are some links.

"Ali stood in the middle of it, and he knows what it means for people to want to be a part of the history he created. It is the reason he doesn't refuse autographs.

''People come up and say, 'Champ, I been following you all my life. Please, Champ, sign this.' ''

    ''I hate to say no.''

He recalled his first time, as a young man, meeting a famous boxer--Sugar Ray Robinson.

''I asked for his autograph. He didn't give it to me. He said he was in a hurry. So he didn't. It means so much to get a signature, and he was in a hurry.''

Years later, as heavyweight champion, Ali reminded Robinson of it. He said Robinson remembered.

    So what happened?

''I gave him mine,'' Ali said with a grin. ''I said, 'I'm bigger than you. He said, 'Give me your signature.' So I wrote, 'Be a good boy.' ''

    in the Trivia part:

"Legend has it that a young aspiring boxer walked into Robinson's restaurant in Harlem and asked for an autograph, which Robinson refused to give. So frustrated was the young man that he swore never to deny anyone an autograph if he ever became a champion. This person is alleged to be Cassius Clay."

He has probably signed more autographs than any other athlete ever, living or dead. It is his principal activity at home, working at his desk. He was once denied an autograph by his idol, Sugar Ray Robinson ("Hello, kid, how ya doin'? I ain't got time"), and vowed he would never turn anyone down

      3. DLH is out of his prime, Floyd fought shot fighters

      4. Mosley had to drop weight, he was weight drained, etc or some other excuse.

Floyd is easily the best boxer out there, therefore there is a reason for him being P4P #1, I truly believe he will go down as one of the greatests once he retires, he already has beaten some guys, and he says he will fight for another 10 years if he has too, he would make a great resume.

Just because someone's the best boxer of the moment in the shallow talent pool we have now does not automatically make them an all-time great.

I need to SEE these fights, not have theoretical extrapolations. The way people talk about Floyd and RJJ on here it makes me think that we don't rate Ali for fighting Foreman/Frazier/Liston but for the way he beat Al Blue Lewis.

Not that i'm condoning bad behavior, but if Ray Robinson wants to be a ****, he can. Let's face it, Ali was no Mary Poppins himself. He was about as much of a bastard as any athlete can be. And not that it applies to everyone, but most great athletes have been *******s. It's part of the package. I don't know, maybe they're making up for some insecurities that come with being in that position. Or some delusional messianic self-indulgence, who knows?

I have no idea why people bash roy jones for the opposition, he has beaten 19 World champions and 4 Hall of Famers. Its just hilarious when someone talks **** about his opposition, 19 WORLD CHAMPIONS 4 HALL OF FAMERS, and thats that.

I have also read this in Ali's book 'Soul of a Butterfly'.

SRL >>>>>FMJ. And Sugar Ray's defense is excellent so I don't know what people are talking about when they say Mayweather's defense blows it out of the water. Sugar Ray used his cunning and his agility to avoid punches. Mayweather uses the roll, slip, etc. They have a different defense but both defenses are great.

Yes he is. I really think that Baldomir can outmuscle and outfight Floyd in there upcoming bout. Floyd will make the mistake of fighting in the pocket and getting tagged by hard Baldomir shots. I know Baldo is slow and lethargic looking at times but I am calling the upset of the year here.

                      1. Leonard beats Mayweather.
why? because Floyd is the naturally smaller fighter, and I would find the fight very close if it was p4p

                      2. Mayweather defense is better than Leonard and Benitez.
why? Because it is more technically sound, ie: he does not rely on natural gifts as much as the other 2 fighters do. So if Mayweather meets someone who can match his speed his D is going to be more effective than theirs.

                      3. Mayweather is an arrogant prick
why? "you would not be in the top 10 in my era"...
