I am glad you can LAUGH at yourself.. proves your brain is quite healthy.. and answers my question with a BIG NO.. BUT I am really scratching MY head over the point of this thread.. Why not just ask if CAlderone is the smallest BOXER period.. WHAT DOES being Black have to do with it?

I agree with many of the points that Black Jesus brings up. I remember an interview with the guy that played Romeo on the Steve Harvey Show. He was asked about his ethinicity & he replied that his family is from the Dominican Republic now living in Washington Heights & he even spoke Spanish, but considered himself Black. With him saying that I take it he had the same thinking as Black Jesus.Comment

In a sense i am, but splitting hairs or not its not out of the question. I could either look at myself as a "latino" or look at myself as "black", the features i have are defining enough to classify me as black, so thats what i am, and if i said otherwise it would be borderline rediculous because you can CLEARLY look at me know right away.
I get the sense that you ashamed to be Puerto Rican or i should say being called Puerto Rican, you look black, while dening your heritage, just seems that like you want to be called anything but Puerto Rican, Im probably wrong. But somtimes people just want to fit in and not be seperated from their peers.
Were you born in the US? If so then you're American. Would you call yourself American or consider yourself American?Comment

I was born in san jose california, i speak the spanish language, im a puerto rican american thats my heritage, my race is black with some spanish, technically its mulatto but i never go by that because it complicates things. why is this concept hard for you to understand. Why is the seperation between heritage and race hard for you to accept?I get the sense that you ashamed to be Puerto Rican or i should say being called Puerto Rican, you look black, while dening your heritage, just seems that like you want to be called anything but Puerto Rican, Im probably wrong. Heritage only goes so far with me, i have been all over the world, i have lived in japan, england and guam being in the military and its exposed me to so many other cultures and heritages, when you have been exposed to so many walks of life and so many different things and different lands, your world view has far less tunnel vision and thats why i am the way i am today, aware of my culture, but not overtly hardcore, i dont need to be.Last edited by El Jesus; 10-17-2006, 07:20 PM.Comment
