joe louis is a legend. he accomplished what no1 else did and he did it while beating the best in his era. and for a fighter with a padded record to try and cheat his way to the same goal is just wrong.
joe louis slogged the hard road to greatness, phony calzone is trying to fight weak opposition and take a shortcut to try and compete with louis' record. something as sacred as louis title reign should be treated with respect, not challenged by a cheater.Comment

Jesus DUDE you just shot yourself in the foot with THAT one... SO Kessler won against a guy who was "undeserving" of his Belt.. which can only mean Calzaghe won his against a DESERVING belt holder...Comment

yes, lacy was a deserving title holder. he fought anybody and he did it actively. a top fighter who fights three times a year is something i respect.
kessler did the boxing world a favor by taking the title away from beyer.Comment

Cheating? Because lots of his opponents haven't been world class known makes him a cheater? If he beats the best of today (Which probably dont stand up to Joe Louis' competition, but still, that's not Calzaghe's fault) then he will be extremely deserving of the record.joe louis is a legend. he accomplished what no1 else did and he did it while beating the best in his era. and for a fighter with a padded record to try and cheat his way to the same goal is just wrong.

You know, I apologise to Evil Saint for my earlier remark. If there's one thing that pisses me off on here it's when someone takes a detraction against a boxer of another nation then it's assumed the poster is automatically hyping their own nation's counterparts (eg. if I say I don't like Floyd people suggest i automatically means I'm saying I'm a fan of the Paler, which of course I'm not on both counts).
I hate that sort of knee-jerk narrow mindedness, so I shouldn't have done it myself. So sorry Evil Saint.
That said, the old "hometown decisions in the UK" bit DOES get old.Comment
