very lazily reffed fight by mickey vann. not neccessarily your picture perfect ref but I've never seen him allow so much useless clinching.
I was surprised that he allowed Bika to get so many cheapies in on the breaks.

There used to be a time - I'm going back to 2005 now - when the only people who posted in NSB, generally, were people who at least knew whereof they spoke, and did at least minimal research. I actually didn't say much about the Lacy-Blow fight because I'd only seen three bouts of each fighter, and thought I wasn't informed enough to post too many opinions on it, which is laughable in context.

How can this forum be taken seriously when you've got posts that should remain in the kindergarten like "Lacy will PWN Cal***gy - Cal***gy FEARS him" and threads like "Is Calzaghe Wales-ish?" It's just pure 100% moron fodder and makes this site look like a joke.

Internet forums are full of nattering nerdy-boys, none of whom have ever been anywhere near a boxing club. Go through some of my posts and you will see there are several of them who make it a point to reply to nearly every one of my posts. Nerdy-boys don't like their silly ideas to be challenged by the simple facts of life. Why should it surprise you that they have opinions about Joe Calzaghe when they have never seen one of his fights? The less they know about something, the more likely it is they will have an opinion about it!!!

But that doesn't make it RIGHT, does it? If this forum cracked down on any post that had phrases like "nuthugger", "hater", or just plain expressed an opinion without any research or knowledge it would be a lot better place. And it USED to be.

I agree 100% with these observations, I have stated many times on here that the lack of knowledge of the sport of boxing is rife on these boards but it doesn't stop certain individuals posting utter crap.

Not sure if the mod's can do too much, perhaps as you say there could be a filter put in place to stop certain phrases, I feel the best way with most of them would be for everyone with either an understanding of the sport or at least common sense to collectively put them straight or ignore them( I wish there was a better way???)

I'm not saying that everything I say should be taken as gospel or that I haven't talked through my arse from time to time but I do understand the sport and will only make judgements on a fighter if I have experience of that fighter, if I don't I shut the **** up!

judging by phony calzone's last few fights and him looking horrendous in all of em except for the lacy fight should say that hes ready to be taken out of the picture. and kessler is not as one-dimensional as lacy.

            kessler by UD.

but then again, phony calzone doesnt have the balls to fight anywhere outside of the UK so he'll doubtlessly get the homecourt advantage and probly eek away a bull**** decision in limeyland.

Without naming names, there used to be a certain doo here that was regularly pwned with a ban... nowadays he's almost encouraged.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a cracking site, but there does seem to be more tolerance of ****tards in NSB since 2005.

Cos America is full of boxers that are prepared to travel, and full of unbiased decisions.

He has openly stated he would travel to the US to fight Hopkins.

"People think I'm a home boy, but I'll fight Bernard Hopkins in his own garden," the Welshman said.

"Hopkins is the sort of fighter I'd get up for. I need those big name fights to bring out the best in me."

Side-stepper. You're an American alledging misconduct in another country. You know exactly what I meant.

I just get a little bored sometimes of not being able to read a thread that concerns European fighters without having to trawl through knee-jerk bull**** like that. It's old and it's tired.
