Lets end this, Who should Floyd fight if there is no Oscar?

If DLH passes, I think Mayweather-Mosley would be the perfect fight for early 2007. (Provided Floyd gets past Baldomir).

it will be ok for him to fight **** opponents once he loses to baldy. but i think he will fade into oblivion after he loses. the only people that will talk about him are his nut huggers, floyd fans = the next tyson fans. always dreaming of a comback that will never come.

I think Oscar won't fight until May 5th weekend so Floyd can take a Mosley fight at 147 in February and still bounce back for an Oscar fight in May.

If he can't get either of them, he should fight Spinks at 154 or Margo/Williams winner at 147.

Hatton won't happen. He'll stay at 140 and won't come back up to 147 after getting his bell rung in the 12th round against Collazo.

If it's not Mosley, Oscar, Spinks, or Margo/Williams, I think he should just do his mandatory, whomever that happens to be, just to stay active/busy. Cotto won't fight him until late 2007, if he can get that far and still remain undefeated. Cotto has Quintana to beat and then has to worry about Urkal if he does so he's got fights lined up for until at least the middle of 07.

wow whats all this hype still about hatton... he looked bad against collazo so i don't think he should fight floyd... IMO shane mosely is the man that should fight floyd. I think its a very bad style matchup for floyd... the ONLY thing floyd has on shane is foot speed

after the baldi fight he should fight mosely. if he cant fight him he should fight the winner of tony/williams fight. i think of tony/floyd as tarver/jones. tarvers been calling him out and jones just wanted to shut him up. then... u know the rest. thats just the way i see it.

in order of MY interest in seeing the fight

1. Hatton (best style matchup, bcos hatton is not just a swarmer, he is a very fast swarmer)

2. Cotto (big, fast, technically sound)

All the rest follow on the same level

Mosley (not his old self, but bigger than floyd, plenty of high level experience, big heart and chin, still faster than most of floyd opponents)

Margarito (big and throws many punches, but not as interesting bcos he is slow and sloppy, if compared to hatton and cotto)

Jose Luis Castillo (why not? the only fighter to give floyd trouble, possibly the best inside fighter in the game right now)

Spinks (slick, fast plus has a belt at 154)

if floyd fought these guys and beat them, I would HATE to see him running his ****y mouth about how he is the best ever. But I would LOVE to read the excuses on why he still cannot be compared to the likes of robinson, armstrong, gans.
