That's right. I disagree with your idiotic ramblings so I must be. Eejit.

Anyway, I'm off down the pub to wish an old clubmate of mine (nah, not JC) well in his world title fight next week. Laters.

And his biggest fights had pro mexican/puerto rican crowds is what my point is based on, other than the tarver fight.

So the story goes, the JC-Jones fight was pretty close to coming off, and it was nothing to do with location that ended it.
First off, I did say suggest "was"...how is it "arguable" about the U.S.A. having the more dominant History? I don't think there is much a debate...moving on...Joe could of came to the States to build his rep at 175, just like Hatton tried to do...maybe Joe knew that he would struggle at 175, just like Hatton proved at 147.

And for the Jeff win, I said it well before the fight that Lacy was overrated...when people were comparing him to Tyson, even some suggesting he was better, I laughed...his power is overrated as well: he has very good power, but he isn't the Tommy Hearns (at 147), of 168.

The biggest money fights have always been in the States, just look at the history of the biggest grossing fights.

Lol, I'm from Philly too, but how many showed up to his fight with the French kid?

If Bernard walked down the left side of the street, Allen Iverson down the right, I bet they would go for A.I.

There are other players bigger than Bernard for drawing a crowd.

Bernard was honored by being invited to sit next to two former Presidents yesterday here in Philly.

Hopkins' is up against better opposition as well as fought outside his country and outside of his hometown.

not that calzaghe hasn't done anything but all of his fights have been at his hometown or near by. that's the only hang up that i have against calzaghe, is him fighting on home soil. i think that you really can't say that you are a WORLD CHAMP when you never leave your hometown.

Britain is a small place, anywhere in Britain would be classed near his hometown.

Not that it matters, because he has fans in every city.

Cult fans above all others should know this often overlooked fact!

....True fight fans know exactly what your talking about. Spin doctors will twist and contort it to suite their agenda. The fringe belt spin only works until one of your favorites holds a "fringe belt". Anyone worth a crap knows that the fighter makes the belt and not the other way around. Also, I always wondered why Scap was such a big Joe C believer. The Lacy fight showed me everything I needed to know.

                      Please tell me your joking.

Nobody knows who Joe is outside of Wales and outside of boxing.
