After Floyd backed out of his offer to fight in England, Hatton asked for a couple of fights to acclimatise to fighting in the US and build his profile. Not because he didn't feel ready as a fighter as you're trying to imply.

no im no tsaying that baldomir has a better overall record, but over the last 18 months, it's hell of lot better than Hatton. Floyd's is too while u trippin. hatton fought Collazo who was green champ really who only had 2 really decent wins himself and Maussa, im not even going to say anything about that guy. Then we have Kostya. Floyd has fought gatti, a former champ and Hatton's her, Mitchell a former champ, and Zab who was the undisputed WW champ in 06. Both these guys fought better comp than Hatton!
