Taylor would jab Miranda's head off.

How are you gonna call anyone else out on insecurity when you mention Eubank in EVERY JONES thread.

Answer this: who said the word EUBANK FIRST in this thread? You? Or someone else?

He did beat Tony and Hopkins, that's enough for a legacy...plus he did beat a Heavyweight "Champion" in John Ruiz, though not "The Heavyweight Champion", that would be Lennox Lewis.

Way to get EIGHT extra pages on a thread overnight... get Bozo to join it.

What I find particularly hysterical is that Bozo always harps on about a non-existent Brit/US situation (as if I have to ask his permission to speak about US boxers)... when he comes from Canada. That's Canada, which produced great boxers like...

            Wait....

            No, it'll come to me....

            (Sorry Smokin'.

Anyway, to return to the actual POINT of this thread, four people have answered the question. Here's the results so far (just the first two votes, I'll do the rest later).

            Bernard Hopkins - A/B
            Fermin Chirino - D/D
            Danny Garcia - no vote
            Thomas Tate - C/B
            James Toney - C/A
            Antoine Byrd - C/B
            Vinny Pazienza - D/B
            Tony Thornton - C/C
            Merqui Sosa - C/B
            Eric Lucas - D/C
            Bryant Brannon - D/C
            Mike McCallum - B/C
            Montell Griffin - B/B
            Virgil Hill - B/C
            Lou Del Valle - D/C
            Otis Grant - D/C
            Richard Frazier - E/D
            Reggie Johnson - C/B
            David Telesco - D/D
            Richard Hall - D/D
            Eric Harding - B/B
            Derrick Harmon - D/D
            Julio Gonzalez - D/C
            Glen Kelly - D/F
            Clinton Woods - C/B
            John Ruiz - D/C

There's no denying Roy was a supremely talented athelete, but boxing must be the only sport I know where its fans rate someone on potential alone, not genuine achievement. Can you imagine if Magic Johnson only played baseball against really ****ty opposition? "Oh, but Johnson would have beat top competition anyway, so..."

The bottom line is that you suggested he isn't a great fighter, and it's obvious instead of just coming out and saying that you wanted to ***** foot around it and try to justify that weak minority opinion by BS'ing about his opposition.

Jones has beaten more current or former champions out of any fighter this generation outside of Oscar and Holyfield, and did so from 160 to Heavyweight.

Your notion that you can discredit his greatness by attacking his resume is weak and petty.

Jones is arguably the top fighter of his generation, and when one says arguably, it's because of names like Hopkins and Toney.

Oh, that's right, he also beat two of the other top fighters of his generation to boot.

              Nice job.

Next time try coming out and saying "I dont' think Jones is a great fighter" and see how well that thread goes over instead of hiding behind a bunch of contrived bull ****.

Magic Johnson played baseball? Is that a joke or you are an officially an idiot.
Why you keep denying Roy Jones being a great fighter. Roy Jones will be in HOF.
Sam Langford is Canadian and was greater and way better than any boxer that England ever produced. .

That's ONE boxer. Anyway, the point I'm making is not about who's country is better than who's, I couldn't give a ****. THAT'S the point.

As for "denying" Roy Jones being a great fighter, that makes it sound like it's an objective fact, rather than a subjective opinion. I don't give a **** about HOF or any of that, it's all hype anyway. Is Barry McGuigan as great fighter?

As for Magic Johnson playing baseball, it was a typo, the result of too many early mornings and too many late nights. But don't call me an "idiot", keep a civil tongue in your head.
