    source read rickys new autobiography
All I was saying is the Fighter has the power to say who he would like to fight...they work for him, not vice-versa...Hatton's Father may handle the business side, but Ricky can still tell his Dad who he wants to fight...its when you have to go into discussion about money, place to hold the fight, time, etc. that Ricky steps aside (I'm guessing

People talk about his weight but he does get it right down when in camp.
lol Ricky Hatton was not 140lbs 5weeks before a fight

He could of, but it depends on what you are seeing...the best wins are the Knockout wins becasuse we have fewer questions

A great example is Tyson and Foreman...when they fought, if they went to the score-cards, and they won, there were those that BOOOED the decision...they were so used to fighters getting knocked out, that when somebody went the distance, they believe the opponent should have got the nod simply because he made it to the end, something unexpected.

I know what you mean, but most people with a view on it have seen the fight a few times now so it would take that out of play. It could definitley factor in on people's initial reaction and the HBO team's take on the night though.

You said four weeks earlier. How much further back are you going to retreat?

This is fighting weight, two weeks before the fight. With added muscle.

OMG some people are truly illogical when it comes down to there favorite fighters. Hatton or almost any fighter does not make weight 4 weeks before the fight.

If Hatton was making jrWW 4 weeks out then we would never see a weight gain between weight-in and fight time. Hatton gains 8-12 pounds between weight-in and fight time.

Is he putting on Muscle in those 24hrs, no the weight he gains is from rehydrating which means that he dehydrated (atleast to some extent). This proves that Hatton wasn't dehydrated for 4 damn weeks.

Now I dont think Hatton has had any trouble making weight in the past or forsee him having trouble in the immediate future but to say that he makes the jrWW limit 4 weeks out is pure, fanatical propaganda and homerism.

Good post, I don't believe he makes weight 4 weeks before fight night either.

The record says he didint. The judges say he didint, there is nothing that can be done about it. Castillo lost twice. The record says so. There is no opinion that can change this. Therefore this argument is invalid
Then you do admit that Samuel Peter beat Toney, right?
