Still, I don't take the Toney fight away from him, or the Hopkins fight to a lesser extent.

But this "virtual boxing" that we seem to have got into recently causes me much consternation. Look at how Floyd is saying that he doesn't have to fight certain opponents because he'd "beat them anyway". So many times with Roy an opponent's name is brought up (in particular, The Man at light-heavy) and the dismissive reply of "oh, he'd beat them anyway" is given. Maybe he would. Probably he would. But I watch boxing, I don't play guessing games and might have beens. I don't sit around saying "Muhammad Ali is a great heavyweight, he'd be able to beat Foreman and Frazier." I've watched him actually do it.

Some people might be satisfied watching someone who looked phenomenal do it against mediocre opposition... and Roy DOES look phenomenal when he's fighting Richard Hall. But for me, it's not enough.

I didn't understand a word of that really, but that brings up another point... Roy is clearly shot (witness his head being rocked back in the first thirty seconds of the Ajamu fight) but he still handled a hyperventilating Ajamu fairly easily. So does this decision to comeback harm his legacy, in that the old "he would have beaten Tarver and Glen Johnson anyway" routine is now slightly tarnished given that he's proven even AFTER losing to them that he's still got enough to beat the Ajamus of this world? (ie. someone on a par with most of his prime opponents).

Well i was refering to the speculation the reason it took 15 + mins for Roy to get off the canvas was because when he was KOed he shat his draws and they were looking for a way for the chocolate pickles to stay in his draws! Klitschko does have a sub-par chin but he has never been KTFO! only TKOed...yeah yeah I know its not much better but, Roy got put to sleep and an jamacian enema off a very weak punch. Now gthats a glass chin

I think Finito is liked by those who remember him. Problem is, most have forgotten him.

                      Jones was a big dissappointment.

He could of been involved in so many mouth-watering fights, but for whatever reason he wasn't.
