Im not a pac hater in fact i enjoy seeing pac fight. I buy every PPV he is on. In the other hand i hate his close minded nuthuggers who think he is invinsible.

And yes Guzman is only gonna get better the more he gets used to this weigh. His power is going to increase.

I admire guzman as a fighter and I think he's a legitimate threat to Pacquiao. but seeing him in action last night proves otherwise.

first, he exposes his chin too much which is very very dangerous for a guy like Pacquiao. he drops his guards too often and thats not all a good indication.second, he doesnt have any counter-punching style which is very effective against Pac.
third, his stamina is very questionable. he was huffing in the later rounds and wouldnt engaged with barrios. he just makes it appear that he's just waiting but you could see he's tired. he just fire in spurts. for a Pacqiiuao who's an energizer bunny, he wouldnt last.

the only good thing that can go for him is he will be the hungrier fighter. i honestly think that jorge barrios style is for effective against Pac than guzman.

He wont make that mistake if he faces Pac. He didnt take Barrios seriously. He enjoyed clowning because he knew he was the superior fighter.

Are you serious ? Guzman IS A COUNTERPUNCHER. I think you have to rewatch the fight. Your wrong.

I'm sure if he fought Pac his gameplan and stamina would be improved and eniterly different.

Guzman has a good chin after taking some shots from Barrios who is known for his punching power and knockouts. He has good boxing skills. Guzman hurt Barrios but no knockdowns. Guzman probably lost some of his puncing power since moving up in weight. His last 5 wins are by decision. Guzman also has his gloves low, not protecting his head.

Pacquiao is quicker than Barrios and MAYBE has a stronger punching power(due to Pac's speed). Under Roach, Pac has improved his boxing skills and will learn some more under FR. Against Larios, Pac use some counter punching. In one of Roach's interview, he said they are gonna work on Pac's defense, so that should improve also. Pac also now uses his right hand. Roach will use diffirent training approach for Pac against Guzman.

If Guzman does not protect his head, Pac might land a lot of power punches and hurt Guzman. Guzman might counter Pac but Pac then might go to the body and soften it up then go to the head again.

Who would win?
-as a boxing fan, to me its 50/50, who ever is the more hungrier and well prepare mentally and physically would win.
-as a Pac fan, of course, i want Pacquiao

right... barrios... a fighter thats so easy to hit and his style is best against pac. r u on crack? hes slow and his power is over-rated. u think hes gonna hit pac enough b4 pac hits him?

guzman's style is the best against pac right now. he can avoid punches very well and his handspeed rivals that of pacs. ill even go and say he has quicker feet than pac which im in no way WRONG. his nickname is little tyson but proves time and time again he doesnt need power to beat u. he can box u silly. with his reflexes i think he'll see when pac is loading up his signature left hand "most" of the time. pac wont see his coming.

I think Barrios is heavier handed than Pac and a MUCH larger man. After being in with such a huge jr. lightweight I dont think Pac's strength would bother Guzman. The only think that could possible hurt Guzman is an accumulation of punches which is possible, but I doubt it would happen. Guzman is very fast, very strong, great chin, young. Hes the future. When he fights Pac, Pac's time is up. If the fight ever happens that is. I really feel Guzman would beat Pac and probably even KO him.

Also, after Guzman's win over Barrios hes only going to get better and settle into the 130 pound weight calss.

tru... i agree but i think barrios' power is a bit over-rated. we all think of the nagy fight and think devastating but nah i dont think so. he is big for 130lbs tho.
