    PACQUIAO vs. GUZMAN

I cant get enough of this... How will the recent showing of Joan Guzman fare with that of Pac...I think after Morales, win or lose PAc should look for another horizon aside from Mexico...

As a Pac fan I really want him to fight Joan Guzman because I think this is a legitimate challenge for Pac. I dont care whether Pac-Barrera 2 will happen (dont care much cause I think it's not that exciting anymore 'cause Barrera is no longer the Barrera of the old). Moreover, JOan got the belt and that is a good motivation for PAC...and this is a GREAT GREAT EXCITING MATCH-UP. Dont you agree?

Nevertheless I'll have to go with Pac... PAc has a way of making a GOOD ( and GREAT ) fighter look horrible and old...On paper and before the scheduled fight, everyone he fought looks like a better fighter and stylistically a match-up nightmare for him( maybe because on screen he is very easy to hit cause sometimes he drops his guard everytime he lets go of his punches in flurry), but come fight night these guys finds out how difficult it is to beat him.

What do you think? Will Joan do the same thing he did to Barrios and toy once in awhile PAc? Will the speed of Pac be negated by the equal speed of GUZMAN? Will PAC fight a good fight against SLICK fighters like GUZMAN?Your thoughts on the whole aspect of the match up will be highly appreciated.....TNX

If Guzman runs around and hit without getting hit, he may win.
But I dont think he can do that.

Guzman will beat Pac if they ever fight. It could be a great fight if it happens and I hope it does. Im glad Guzman is starting to be recgonized as a great fighter now too. I have been a fan of his for a while now and im glad hes now getting the credit he deserves. Guzman vs Pac could potentially be a fight of the year and I hope it happens. But if the fight does happen I think Guzman will win it. No disrespect to Pacquiao at all hes a great fighter but I just dont see him beating Guzman.

Guzman has a good chin after taking some shots from Barrios who is known for his punching power and knockouts. He has good boxing skills. Guzman hurt Barrios but no knockdowns. Guzman probably lost some of his puncing power since moving up in weight. His last 5 wins are by decision. Guzman also has his gloves low, not protecting his head.

Pacquiao is quicker than Barrios and MAYBE has a stronger punching power(due to Pac's speed). Under Roach, Pac has improved his boxing skills and will learn some more under FR. Against Larios, Pac use some counter punching. In one of Roach's interview, he said they are gonna work on Pac's defense, so that should improve also. Pac also now uses his right hand. Roach will use diffirent training approach for Pac against Guzman.

If Guzman does not protect his head, Pac might land a lot of power punches and hurt Guzman. Guzman might counter Pac but Pac then might go to the body and soften it up then go to the head again.

            Who would win?
-as a boxing fan, to me its 50/50, who ever is the more hungrier and well prepare mentally and physically would win.
-as a Pac fan, of course, i want Pacquiao

Maybe nuthuggers bro.Im not offended at all. Not all Pac fans in the site are Nuthuggers. I'm a pure Boxing fan. Im a fan of great fights and great match ups that we boxing fans get to be rewarded once in a while. And this match-up I agree has all the potentialities of a future Fight of the Year.I hope it does happen. In fact I'm willing to trade 10 Pac-Barrera fights for this one.And it will indeed happen.I guess it has the making of a great Boxing fight...If only if, Guzman stays unbeaten and avoid goofing of cause he maybe caught by sucker punch from a tune up fight and in the process throwing away a potential fight with PAC...

I doubt Guzman will play around like he did with Barrios if he fights Pac. Pac is serious threat with devasting punching power and Guzman cant and wont play around. It will be a good fight. Too tough to call. I'd like to see this ****.
