me too....... i can honestly see this fight going either way, depending on how Peter prepares for it, you saw what happened when people underestimated Baldomir after his underdog victory over Judah in the Gatti fight, as long as Peter doesn't take Oleg forgranted, i'd think he'd win this one.. but you never knowOriginally posted by Hitman932i absolutely disagree that rahman was beating oleg before the KO.Comment

uhm,,who said his knockout victims were hall of fame caliber? this argument is who's the bigger puncher between maskeav and wlad. you asked me just who wlad has knocked out. I gave you my list of knockout victims all whom of which were top 15 guys at the time wlad stopped them. now for once back up your opinion with your bigger list of maskeav knockout victims. I'll be waitingOriginally posted by Nautilus``a hall of famers" list, so to speak....

I actually have a theory on why he didn't KO Peter.Originally posted by japparently, this has to be stated on a weekly basis. wladimir was not looking for a KO. watch the tape again, and you can hear steward telling him just to box and not try to out power peter.
41 people out of 46 victories. byrd, mccline, mercer, botha, shufford, barrett, etc.
c'mon you didn't start watching boxing last year.
Wlad was punching down at Peter the whole fight. Notice he never really threw any uppercuts the whole fight probably for fear of getting caught with one of Peter's wide shots. Also notice when one of Wlad's semi-lunging hooks landed on Peter's chin in the 12th, it hurt Peter badly, while apparently Peter takes a shot to the forehead very well. I would give Maskaev a chance of winning a fight with Peter, and I'd give him a chance of hurting or even KOing Peter not because he's a harder puncher than Wlad, but because he's shorter and more apt to land a shot or two on Peter's ever-wide open chin. My two cents.Comment

I give Maskaev a good chance if this fight happens. He went 11 rounds with Tua in his prime before Tua caught him. And that was a less experienced and very glass chinned Maskaev. He seems to be mentally on his game now and seems to take a lot better shot. Toney was ****ing Peter's face up and stunning him pretty bad as well. Peter looked frustrated as early as the second round. It was very evident when Peter gave Toney the double 2 fister. We'll have to wait and see what happens.Comment

Although, he did take all of Rahman's best punches and I would not say Peter has more stamina than Rahman...Comment

I agree with you bro, I also favor Maskaev over Peter and I hope he knocks Peter the **** out!Originally posted by Nautilushuh? who exactly did Wlad KO?
Oleg likes to take risks, and Wlad does not. Wlad is a better boxer, and Oleg is a better puncher.Comment

"Peter wants Maskaev now!"
Why is this even news? Naturally he wants Maskaev. Everybody wants a match with a champ and the big bucks.
Maskaev KO'd Rahman twice, but Rahman beat up on Toney who was then given a gift decision by the crooked judges (pardon the redundancy!), and Peter just beat Toney in a close fight, so looking at that, Maskaev should be the favorite.
