Exactly. All of the punchers won in those cases. I would think of more fights like that but I can't think right now. Judges are clearly favoring punchers now.
Peter landed more meaningful punches..

Well, actually only one puncher won in those fights.. the other two were a Winky win and a draw.Originally posted by Smokin'Exactly. All of the punchers won in those cases. I would think of more fights like that but I can't think right now. Judges are clearly favoring punchers now.Comment

Yes it does. Judges are scoring it that way and they are leaninng towards the punchers now. It's not my fault, it's just fact. Judges like punchers.Originally posted by restless_438and about your last sentence there..
Even if thats the case, that doesn't make it right
ANd it's also Toney's fault that he lost the fight. He would fight for about 2:00 and then he would let Peter hit him with a winging big shot and steal the round. Toney's obesity is the reason he lost that fight.
Oh well, it's only fitting that he lost. Another wrong prediction (as usual) for "the restless". THe only fights you ever get right are when prospects are matched up with powderpuffs.

peter has more power than toney yet Toney was the one that busted peter's face. Which basically meant that Toney hit peter with alot more clean shots then peter ever did. Watch the fight again. Count how many clean shots peter even landed.Comment

im sorry, smokin, but im gonna have to vehemently disagree with you.
scoring is not based entirely on who hits harder. otherwise, how would a light punching, technical boxer EVER win a decision?
youve got to take into consideration percentage of shots landed, ring generalship, clean punching, etc also.
its not like toney was giving peter a shiatsu in there. christ, peter's face looked like a jackson pollack painting after the fight.Comment

Had Toney been properly conditioned he probably could have won every round, but it probably wouldnt have mattered.Originally posted by restless_438He trained and showed up for 12 rounds of boxing.. not sure what fight you were watching.... the only thing more Toney could've possibly done is knock Peter down, and a few brief moments, it almost looked possible, but lets get real here, Toney's not a natural heavyweight, yet he pulled his own with a natural one for 36 minutes..
The judges must have had a vendetta.Comment

Just because there are judges out there who are either payed off or mentally retarted, doesnt mean the way fights are scored should be changed.Comment

Bull****, the only punches Peter did land that hurt toney was the ones on the back of his head, when he would duck down, Peter is trash, he left happy to get a decision over a former middleweight, Peter is garbage, he is just a big man with a big punch, but he far from a world champ, or even a HW that will really be remebered for his punching power...because notable fighters has he knocked out?Comment
