I felt the decision for Peter was proper under professional scoring. This is the pro game not the amateurs, and the meaningful punches were landed by Peter. Toney slapped around Peter for a bit but Peter's punches had more effect and that's what most judges are looking for nowadays.
Toney actually landed more power punches than Peter. I dont think Peter's shots are than meaningful when Toney dominates the other 2:30 of the round. I think it made the fight look closer than it really was.
I Think My My Boy, Lights Out, Was Just More Inaccurate Than Expected. He Usually Lands That Cross Over The Jab More Effectively And Accurately!! Might Be His Age!! And Sammy Got Smarter In The Fight As A Result Of His Youth Perhaps!! But, I Know Jamesd Outlanded That Dude!!
I think that yall are reacting to hard with robery claims. The score cards for Peter were unacceptable but it was a close fight. You could have argued for Peter hurting Toney several times in the fight. I thought in the first round that he outjabbed Toney. Ring generalship one of you said? Where was the fight? in the center of the ring. Where does Toney like it to be? on the ropes. I thought Peter was controling where Toney was very well.

Toney hurt Peter once and Peter hurt Toney once, but the rest of the fight Toney clearly won, if this was a fight like Hatton/Colazo or Taylor/Wright I will agree with you, I don't see this fight being close like those fights.
This was a clear robbery, considering Peter lost a point and still won the fight.

Peter should have finished Toney, he should have been trained to finish...with that kind of skill and hand speed AND power...He should have finished Toney soon. But Peter is fat **** bafoon that's completely ignorant to the significance of body punches. He should have kept james on the ropes and wore him down with haymakers to the body, early, when his fatigue wasn't an issue cause James can only Knock Out or Knock Down Peter if Peter's low on fatigue..But some vicious Haymakers to the body while flexin his own kneck on that Toney jab would have been wise for Peter. But Peter let him off the hook....This was a time for an Over sea's fighter to shine and he ****in blew it...Instead of finishing Toney, he took a controversial decision.
I had it for Peter close but wouldn't have blinked if Toney had gotten the decision. James was stung and even wobbled a lot more in these twelve rounds than I can recall since the RJJ bout, and while he may have landed more than Peter, his shots did virtually nothing. NOTHING!
Did he fall? NO, how do you know they were meaningful? You're not James Toney, you didn't feel those punches. Toney came out of the fight without anything on his face, he looked exactly the same as he did in the beginning of the fight. While Peter was bleeding from his nose, and was swelling. Peter couldn't KO Toney because he couldn't catch him. I distinctly remember Toney dodging 6 straight punches thrown by Peter.
