I dont know, I thinK Winky beats him in the next fight because he is green, Taylor will be the better fighter but he is not the better of the 2 right now, skill wise. True, Taylor will be better, But winky wil prolly exchange more with him and counter more than he did in the 1st fight. If winky would have exchanged a lil bit more when taylor was hitting his gloves, he would have clearly won then. But thats how winky fights though, and thats why I think he is the 2nd best fighter. Taylor just does too many things that u can time, but all in all he ahs accomplished a lot early, and prolly will cont. too once winky retires.

It's not like fighters get emotional and say things they don't mean after a fight.

Maybe Wright would have more clarity if he was a bitter little college kid who's only been watching boxing for 2 years.
Winky bitched like no tomorrow, and wouldnt even come out for the post fight conference.
Now, months later, he wants a rematch, as Taylor is already setting up other potential fights?
        Weak.
And Winky wont get a shot at DLH.

The only reason Winky was exchanging was because Taylor was trying to engage Winky by backing into the ropes. Taylor thought that Wright would open up more, and he would be able to effectivly counter his barrages. Taylor misjudged, and that cost him the W.
If Winky tries to exhange with Taylor in the middle of the ring, he is in for a long (or maybe short) night.

You try fighting your heart out and feeling like you just got stabbed and see if you react on point every time.

I'm not saying what he did was right, but anyone who acts like he shouldn't be pushing for a rematch now, or that you wouldn't want to see it because of the pre fight interview is way off base.

Chalk it up to the heat of the moment. He was pissed because he thought he'd won the fight.

A lot of people felt the same way.

How that writes off a potential rematch of a fight everyone would be priveledged to watch a 2nd time is beyond me.

Its not that hes after the rematch, its that he is after it now, months after Taylor said it, and Taylor has since gone on to pursue other fights.
Winky had it in his head that he was going to get robbed since he signed the fight.
And those punch-stat numbers are innacurate.

What do you think was inaccurate about them?

Taylor was getting credit for hitting nothing but leather, Winky definately landed alot more punches than Taylor.

Winky stated in the press the day after the fight he wanted a rematch, and has said it several times since.

Once again, the fact he made comments in the heat of the moment means nothing.

The fact a select few of you are using that as a crutch for why this fight shouldn't happen is beyond me.

The first fight was highly competitive and entertaining. Everyone would be lucky to see them go at it again.

PunchStat does not include partially blocked punches. Taylor threw about 75 punches that partially landed (and were partially blocked.)
In addition to that, im sure you know there is alot more to boxing then just punching.

Of course there is, It's not just about punches landed, and I'm not dis*****g that..

But you said the stats were innacurate, I was just commenting on it.
