Toney will UD12 Peter. A draw, if Peters KDs Toney, could happen too. I doubt a KO will happen.

.....We are going out of town and staying at my brother in laws house in Naples for labor day weekend. I made him order Showtime so we can watch the fight at his house. Anyway, Peter will knock Toney out and end it for him once and for all. Peter took hard shots all night from Wlad and only wobbled near the end. Toney has nothing to hurt Peter with and he will not be able to keep him off the same way he discouraged the chinny Rahman. Peter will run him over in this fight.Comment

Naples, Italy? ...
I will cheer for Toney because he is weaker physically and can only win using his wits.Comment

Heh, not to mention everybody was talking about Rahman/Toney that if Toney didn't get knocked out he'd easily put on a boxing lesson and win by an easy UD. Didn't work out that way if I recall. Peter winning a UD isn't out of the question if Toney refuses to increase a workrate to impress judges with more than just his impressive defense.
My hope on a win is not based on 2 "ifs". It was merely a point I was trying to make on if Toney gets caught with a shot that hurts him or floors him.
I'm already confident that Toney's chin will hold up.
I'm also confident that he will outbox him for the 12 rounds.
I just have a feeling that this will be a very in shape and focused James Toney that we will see on Saturday.
Nothing to take away from Peter and his power but this is a style matchup that all points in favor for James Toney. Peter has a puncher's chance...thats it.Comment

I dont care if James hasnt been a heavyweight for very long because even if gets cracked and goes down , he'll get up.
His defence alone should prevent him from taking a flush shot.
and dont give me that ****...Rahman can still pack a punch. Slow as Molasses but still gots decent power.Comment

Originally posted by Kid AchillesToney and his 5'8 1/2" body will crumble under that kind of power. Peter hits about as hard as George Foreman. He catches you flush, and I don't care who you are, your legs do a little dance. Or worse.
If you think a former middleweight can afford to take that man's punches, you're sorely mistaken. Toney will have to fight a careful fight just to go the distance on September 2nd because one punch or sequence of punches will put him on ***** street. He doesn't have the skeletal structure to absorb a guy like Peter's body shots. His little middleweight ribs will give. I guarantee it.
I can't wait until Sunday morning so I can quote you.Comment
