I'm also not sure how it's too early to tell... WLad is 30 years Old... it's not like he's some young pup who we're still eager to see. We've all seen what he can do... as well as what he can't.
I agree Lewis was in very big trouble and that fight could have easily gone the other way, it's just a matter of Briggs gassing because he didn't fight a more patient fight. I also agree that Wlad is about as good technically as he is going to get. Wlad could get more relaxed in the ring, and that could make him a better fighter to some degree, but you're right he's not gonna learn too many new tricks at this point. Personally, I'd like to see Wlad in against nothing but big punchers from now on, no more undersized, outgunned opponents, it's time to see if he's gonna mature enough to handle the pressure or not. And this coming from a Wlad fan lol

How is that a bad post or statement? He was getting hit with other shots during the fight.. .but last time I checked getting knocked out was still a viable way to lose a fight. I guess the Rahman-Lewis fight didn't count for anything at all because it was just the 1 shot that Rahman landed... right?

he was trying to hype the fight. briggs is a joke. he's never beaten a top 15 guy. Im glad wlad is fighting an undefeated top 10 guy in his 1st defense. he should be given credit for that. most champs take on bums on there first defenses but the haters will find any excuse to discredit him. and the reason he lost briggs is he tried to get a unification fight with maskeav,,but maskeav said he wasnt ready so briggs lost patience and signed with king to fight serg instead

briggs had one big moment in the fight when he shook lewis in the 1st round then got his a$$ kicked most of the rest of the way. not like lewis has never been hurt in other fights. briggs has done absolutely nothing to get a title shot and Im glad he isnt. let him beat a top 15 guy for once in his career then give him a title shot if he can win that

I have no idea why so many people think Calvin Brock is the real deal. He has good wins, but if he was any good he would have stopped that Ibragimov joke of a fighter.

I wouldn't say Lewis' lights were out, he was just caught by suprise, and had to adjust, he was certainly in a bit of trouble, only Lewis himself can know how close it was, the fact is that Lewis overcame it, i doubt Wladimir could, as we've all seen.

defensively and mentally. but wlad has a better leftjab/hook and faster hands

When a fighter who is a clear underdog accomplishes some high points in a fight he is expected to lose it's to be expected that there will be attention paid to their better moments. This happens in numerous fights....
