Holmes didnt get any credit for beating Ali..thats a joke,
Anytime anyone talks about when DLH became the face of boxing they say its when he beat Chavez. I never said Holmes got praised for beating Ali, I said his name will forever be among the few that did. Another fighter, Sugar Ray Leonard, is widely known for being a champion in 5 different divisions, not for dominating any one division. He gets his respect for winning his titles at whatever weight class he went into.

do you want to see quality fights or Floyd beat names like Dela or Mosley..IMO he outboxes both of them...because I dont feel there is an active fighter that can outbox Floyd...and they will box him.plus they are NOT in thier primes anymore...both have recent losses and have shown weaknesses...Id bet money Floyd would beat them, its only logical. I honestly dont know who would win betweem Floyd and Margarito...he's a pressure fighter...and rarely take a step back..His fights almost always end in KO.

I understand what you're saying, but Floyd doesn't care what you think. Floyd is going to fight whoever will strengthen his legacy in the minds of people from the common fan to the expert. DLH and the others do that, Margarito doesn't (at the moment). As for you not knowing who would win that fight, think Phillip N'Dou. Both are tall (nearly 6'), have power (30 KO's in 31 wins), and apply pressure. Floyd learned a thing or two from his fights with Castillo and hasn't had trouble fighting pressure fighters since.

experts agree with me...just listen to them.

if you just compared Ndou with Margarito then you def, fall into the "just a common fan" of boxing

Experts such as..? Just because there are websites out there that are trashing Floyd doesn't mean that they're run by experts. And I absolutely just compared the physical attributes and styles of Margie and N'Dou. Am I wrong about any of the three things I compared?

Don't we have a variation of this thread every single day?

Bottom line is, Floyd was talking about big money fights, then turns down eight mil. Reputedly.

And it's no good saying Margarito isn't in Floyd's league, because he's not exactly fighting the best out there now, is he? Unless Costa Zoo's Sloppy Seconds tour is the best competition in history and I don't know it.

yes, you are..that was 140 or even 135..not sure. this is 147..ive seen N'dou fight 1 time..there is a reason for that......Marg was ranked #1 at welter..just cuz Ndou is tall doesnt mean anything. Corrales is just as tall.

im not talking about websites trashing Floyd..at all.....im talking bout boxing experts, go to espn.com or something..ring magazine or HBO

Its a little comical that when Floyd fights guys that "aren't the best competition", its guys with proven records who have only lost to great fighters. Judah lost to Tszyu, Spinks, and Baldy. Mitchell lost to Tszyu, Johnston, and Johnson. Corly, N'Dou, and Sosa had a 94-5 combined record. Yet these guys get dissed because Floyd has haters.
