Thats fair. But we have seen Valdez face adversity and overcome it. We just seen him kick it into a higher gear in a fight where he was the underdog while moving up in weight. He’s in his prime and now just won a title in another weight class as the obviously smaller man. SS we have seen against nobody really. Only 15 fights, still quite young. Never really been tested. I see Valdez being at a higher level right now.Until tonight there was no fight that made anyone think Valdez could beat Berchelt. I’m not guaranteeing a win by Shakur I just think they’re both cut from the same cloth. Amateur and Olympic Pedigree showed tonight and Shakur is miles ahead of of Berchelt. That’s all I’m saying.Comment

Was watching the fight with some of the lads from the neighbourhood, most of which dont watch boxing, and it could not have ended in finer fashion. Valdez kept moving, gave him angles, and took him apart all night long...and yes the fellas did remark about the rather attractive and perfectly dressed young lass that accompanied him lolComment

Simple, if one Mexican has lived in Mexico the whole time and another Mexican leaves Mexico for 5 minutes and learns to speak English, Mexicans treat the guy who left for 5 minutes like he is a creature from another planet compared to the guy who was in Mexico the whole time.Comment

Wow. That was a masterful performance from Valdez. He definitely proved me wrong. Reynoso has helped him transition into a much better fighter.Comment
