      A+, a p4p atg, smw atg, & a possible goat smw candidate.

Ward can box, punch, or cheat, that's why he's got that 0 still. He'll **** you up any way he wants to.

I say A because his dirty shti downgraded what would probably have been an A+ fighter. I disliked Ward to begin with because of said tactics with but the way he handled a prime, a destructive and a feared Kovalev both in and out of the ring impressed me a lot. He won me over.
        I dig Irish Andre Ward

Should be an A+ but I'll give an A due to his dirty tactics. IMO, he lost to Kovalev in their first fight.

I think Andre Ward is an amazing boxer,p. One of the most skilled boxers and highest IQs of all time but....

My only knock on him was avoiding the rematch with Froch.

When Froch recovered himself, cleaned the division and at the height of his powers. Ward refused to rematch him.

And that honestly drops him from A+ to A for me.

I can’t give Ward the plus because he didn’t allow the Hearns to his Leonard a rematch.

B- to B. No great wins while all the good ones are accompanied by an asterisk. Short career due to inactivity and early retirement, many accusations of being a dirty fighter.

                  A

I can't give him the A+ because all his top wins were plodders so there's a lack of variety there, and for the fact he lost Kovalev 1 in a close fight (no shame in that)

But outside of that he's got excellent wins in Froch, kessler and Kovalev 2 and he showed fantastic ring IQ and adaptability.

Froch legit reclaimed the top top spot, he was one of the best boxers in the world at the time. He had all the gold.

                    Why not rematch him?

That's like Duran not rematching Leonard or Leonard not rematching Hearns; Morales not rematching Barrera; Pacquiao not rematching Marquez.

That is a boxing purist's match. The kind of match that enriches a legacy.

Unlike boxing some clowns after the Dawson fight.
