It is hard to believe that the same warrior with no quit we've seen in the ring would be someone who tries to commit suicide. If it's true it must have been the mass amount of substances to make him feel so weak and pathetic.

If you think about it...it actually goes hand in hand not the opposite like you suggest.

Boxing is a cruel, dangerous and brutal sport

If you have a war you leave a piece of yourself in that ring, you don't leave it the same man as you entered it.

You basically have to be willing to die in a ring, no self-preservation instinct.

So it's probably more conducive of people with lack of regard for their well being or health to be good boxers...in fact we know this to be true.

The ones who care about their health or aren't good enough to protect their health quit...that's the way of all combat sports.

Fury would never quit in a boxing ring

To commit suicide is to essentially to quit on life so chances are he could be forced to quit in the ring as well?
No it indicates the man has his own personal issues/demons as have many people in life who have suffered from the same kind off struggles in life..

The fact that he was able to overcome and continue fighting his own personal depression etc then come back speaks for itself..

He could very well be dead or in prison or homeless or out committing crimes yet he endured/overcame and returned by dethroning a previously unbeaten champion and reclaiming his belts..

Fury was too mentally weak to commit suicide & too mentally weak to be happy with life. That’s a double whammy of mental weakness that the fat man is selling to sheeple as mentally illness.

Boxing will never see a fraudster greater the Fury!

I would say it does lack internal fortitude and self confidence but we have to ask ourselves was Tyson really that sick or did he play on it more than it really was.
Most people who try to commit suicide usually succeed because they are so low and have no way out......people forget that fury was living it up in France during the football and was getting drunk every night with the fans and he was overweight then.
He might be Bi-polar but I don’t think he was ever that mentally ill

Its all a lie. All this mental health rubbish was a ploy to deflect from the sh i t coming his way due to his ban for taking steroids. Fury is a gyppo. That means fury is scum. He is a cheat and a liar and a criminal from a lineage of liars, cheats and criminals. Its in the gyppo blood.

Saying depression indicates "mental weakness" is like saying leukemia indicates "blood weakness" - yes, of course those things are literally true. If you are severely depressed at a point in time, then your mental health is weak at that time. Yes, depression is often a chronic condition, so someone who's been there before is always at a higher risk of it happening again.

The question seems to imagine that depression might caused by some kind of "mental weakness" that is distinct from the depression itself. Depression is a very complex illness, as are most mental health conditions.

I'm pretty sure that if you can prove definitively what causes depression, you will win a Nobel Prize.

OP, you're trash. Just a disgusting human being. I hope you're never unfortunate enough to suffer from mental illness. All this vileness because you don't like that a man won a boxing match. I sincerely hope that you're a child and just don't know any better. Some of the other comments here are just as bad. You're all fine cheering on rapists and women beaters but have to throw shade at mental illness. What a joke.

I only bothered even making a post in this place in case there are any members here , particularly young fans, that might be struggling. I don't want them reading your rubbish and feeling shame about how they're feeling. I don't want them thinking they're weak because of people like you.
