Bivol wants to fight Canelo at 168 and Bivol is 29. Benavidez wants to fight Canelo at 168 and he is 23. I see some serious resistance if he fights either of them, Canelo said he will not fight at light heavyweight again. He will stay at 168 only. He is also done fighting at 160.

I’m glad you see my point. I would rather see top guys fight 3-4 times a year instead of twice at the most. Also, Canelo’s money dates are Cinco de Mayo and Mexican Independence Day. Any date besides that is likely to feature a lesser opponentComment

Bivol should concentrate on unifying at 175 against Beterbiev.Bivol wants to fight Canelo at 168 and Bivol is 29. Benavidez wants to fight Canelo at 168 and he is 23. There is also Edgar Berlanga. He’s not ready yet but I could see him becoming a viable opponent in the next two years.Bivol wants to fight Canelo at 168 and Bivol is 29. Canelo better stop messing with tbis belt collecting nonsense and start fighting the best guys while he's still young. Eventually, he's gonna run out of bums and will have to step up. Billy Joe is not it. Nor GGGComment

Spence has not fought - much less beat - a lineal champion. Canelo has.I never said that the guy fights nobodies, but even Roy Jones knew that Jacobs, Kovalev, fielding etc. weren't gonna win. Like I said belts are nice but fans don't really watch fights because the WBC title is on the line. I'm a Canelo fan, but unlike his other fans I hold him accountable. Errol spence fought Mikey Garcia, Shawn Porter, got into a car accident and still went on to fight Danny Garcia. Spence is winning belts and fighting the best. Why can't Canelo do this?
Spence has fought at a higher weight class, but has only held titles in one. Canelo has held them in FOUR - two at the same time.
It's fine to say that you don't watch for belts, but the fact is, accomplishments matter. The only REAL way to judge a fighter is by what they've done.
Right now, if we look at career accomplishments, nobody touches Canelo Alvarez. Period.
Spence is untouchable - at 147. But that's only at 147. That's fine. But how can a guy who is only untouchable in one weight class be better than a guy who's already accomplished the peak in four of them?
The other important thing I would point out is age.
Spence has accomplished the things he has mostly in his early 30's.
Canelo at 20 sparked out Baldomir (which Floyd and Zab both failed to do); 22, he dominated 'Sugar' Shane Mosley; same year took 5 rounds to stop the guy that recently damn near stopped Keef Thurman. He JUST turned 30 even a full year ago and the man's resume in just the past 12 years is a who's who of the era.
Nobody in the business today has fought as many NAMED fighters as Canelo Alvarez, and despite losing to Floyd he's drawn more money than Pacquiao.
At some point people need to start giving this guy credit - because unlike what Crawford claims, Canelo IS a first ballot HOF'er.
Like I said before.
If we're going to say that Crawford is #1 P4P because of his wins before 147...we need to give Danny Swift credit for a far superior 140 than Crawford.
OR
If we're going to ignore Danny Swift's 140, then we need to ignore Crawford's past - and only look at 147. In which case, neither guy has excelled, neither guy is P4P and ultimately, they're both B-Sides to Errol Spence who beat 4 Top 5 Welterweights so far.

Amen to the true pimp posters.
Thing is, with Canelo reaching close to 80 fights ending his career is insanely impressive!!! Such a journey is almost double or triple most boxers’ careers. He’s the same age as the Charlos, Spence, Crawford. So should they choose to acclimate to a 168 challenge they’ll all meet.
I think Canelo is interested in another Mega Deal package from DAZN. I think Canelo has been advised to say this so that DAZN can rethink the future package. DAZN keeps growing, and perhaps Canelo’s next deal will be astronomicalComment

Canelo is already arguably the most accomplished fighter under the age of 40 active or retired, his resume will be crazy stacked in a few years. Although I wonder if wear and tear won't eventually start to catch up with him.Comment
