He’s literally had three fights of any decent level in his career. Won one by KO, won one by points which he wasn’t favourite to win the rematch and drew the other. He has a lot to prove to get himself anywhere near Ali level.
Boxers don't fight as often now as they did then. Plus I could counter argue and say Ali lost fights that Fury would never lose in a million years imo. Ken Norton. Frasier would be easy work for the Gypsy King, Kronk Fury TBE.

Plus regarding the draw, when 99% of the world believes he won easily, that can be quite easily overlooked.

Although I do think Ali was great, he also got several gift decisions in his prime. I don't count Ali's last two losses as he was done then, but I had him losing all three to Ken Norton, and a few other debatable wins in his prime.

He knew if he stood and fought Wlad he would get KOed. So he went into survival mode and damn near lost every round. Pathetic performance considering all of the big shyte he talked before the fight.

In regards to the fight itself, was a combination of Wlad's height, range and power. Because of this, it made Haye gun shy which costed him the fight. Him hurting his toe was a result of having to move more than he was use to with uncomfortable boxing shoes
In my opinion no major boxer for his most important fight , uses new boots, but well flexed and used, comforabl ones. My further opinion is that Haye was afraid of Klitschko, and didn't have the skills to be able to box him with any success. His only "tactic", was when Klitcschko clinched and put weight on him, was to collapse on the ground, which he did several times.

Haye was a great con artist for this fight. And, I think, a few others also. Narcissistic..............

The autopsy report showed his toe was actually dented. It had to be surgically removed. David is lucky to be alive.

Haye was exclusively a counterpuncher against big heavyweights and its hard to counter a guy who's output is basically just a jab and an occasional right hand, both from far outside your own punching range.

Haye spent 2 years winding Wlad up in the hopes it would make him fight angry, more like the old Wlad which would then open up counterpunching opportunities but it didn't happen.

I'd say that was wlads best career performance tbh.

Saying this fight was a let-down, or Haye performed badly, are both myths. Haye fought an ATG champion in his backyard and gave it his all. So what if he came up short? Haye was a great Cruiserweight champion, had a so-so Heavyweight run. I think the people who try to trash Haye in this fight are the idiots who bought into the hype that he was some kind of Roy Jones/Lennox Lewis hybrid. The fight was a good one and Haye tried but was too small.

Nah that fight was terrible man, Haye basically just ran after promising to put it on Wlad, and Wlad was just content keeping on the end of the jab. Did you actually think it was an entertaining fight?

I was one of the mugs who flew over to Hamburg and sat there getting soaked in the rain.
