    Greater win: Mayweather-Corrales or Pacquiao-Barrera

In hindsight which win was greater: Mayweather knocking out Corrales in 2001 or Pacquiao knocking out Barrera in 2003?

    Pacquiao.

As good as Corrales was, and as madly as I loved him, Chico was on a level below Mayweather. I picked Floyd to win at the time, even if my heart was with Chico.

But Pacman overwhelming Barrera was not an easily predictable result in those days.

Is this even worth a question?

Barrera is a Mexican Legend. Already a future HOF and still enjoying the highest peak of his career.

The win over Corrales was great but this win over Barrera was levels higher. Barrera was one of the 3 fighters being argued as the #1 p4p that time and he got annihilated by a cannon fodder (Pac). The gravity of that win is very high.

Arguably the best win for either fighter but Pacquiao over Barrera for me.

Mayweather-Corrales was largely seen as an even fight which makes the domination impressive, but Pac was a big underdog to MAB. He moved up in weight to fight the already established Mexican great and just destroyed him.

Corrales historically isn't that good. So in hindsight not a great win. A good win

                Pacman v Barrera.

Mayweather was the easy favorite against Corrales

Corrales was the favorite going in.

MAB had already been through mega wars with Morales, neither one of them were the same fighter. I give very little credit to Manny for beating that version of Barrera.
