If he stepped in when Ruiz Jr fight happened.

AJ looked like he needed to have a dump in his nappy that night, the pressure got to him and he couldn't handle it fighting overseas.

I reckon Ortiz would have got to him and cracked that chin.

PBC would have had a field day

    They really screwed Ortiz

Haymon didn't have faith in him. Thats why he said no on his behalf and sent ruiz. If ruiz lost no big deal aj beat a short fat guy if he lost (which he did) hed be a laughing stock for losing to a short fat dude.

AJ did look off even walking to the ring but like someone pointed out - he still had Ruiz on his ass. He had Ruiz on his ass after clearly being comfortable with the smaller stature of Ruiz. Ruiz is a fatso but he's isn't on old rickety legs like Luis, how would Ortiz be after the knockdown IDK

Ruiz's jab and right hand to the body kept on stabbing and stabbing AJ, coming in low and pushing him bac... that was a key shot and Ortiz doesn't really focus on that kind of action or apply that amount of pressure.

I still give him a chance though because AJ looked so off and Ortiz is also quality, I wanted to see that fight too was a great opportunity, seemed crazy to pass up.

If he was going to get to Joshua, that was the time.

Missed his chance though so he could be fed to Wilder. In truth, we have no idea if Ortiz is on that kind of level. Probably never will know either.
