I can't see them possibly getting together to negotiate terms on a fight. Probably two biggest divas in the sport today, and I don't say that with any malice. Just true.

If they fought, Canelo would likely get the close rounds he needs from the judges. Ward would probably make it a rough fight but unless he hurts and stops Canelo, I don't see Ward dominating the action. When he has to get rough, the rounds are usually 50/50 pick em type rounds. Just become mucked up with not much separating the fighters.

Its hilarious that you got guys saying Ward can't even fight anymore because his legs are shot,then you have countless ppl saying how Ward would school Canelo.(if he even has question marks over this it shows hes shot)I used to think Ward would be a bridge too far for Canelo but it should be obvious that Canelo would be favored to win(& prime vs Prime would now be a 50/50 fight) & should now be favored by everyone off common sense of circumstances.(at any weight)

The Kovalev Ward faced was almost 2 yrs younger than Canelos version.(Kov fought the same way but actually had a better gameplan vs Canelo & countless haters like Rapheal were ready to cry robbery before Canelo put kovs lights out like Ward couldn't)

Also Kov vs Canelo weighed more than Wards version because of the extra 6 hrs to rehydrate & likely outweighed Canelo by 15 lbs.

As crazy as it sounds Canelo has more power than Ward who was known as featherfisted before Kov tko.

Ward would win with fair judges, but Canelo is the cash cow of Boxing right now, so Ward would have to dominate to edge out a victory.
