There’s no boxer from 168 to 175 who would be offered current Andre Ward and current Artur Beterbiev, in 2021, and they choose Beterbiev. Just stop with the ******ity and the name calling. No one is turning down an undefeated 37 year old Hall of Famer lol. To take less money to fight a lesser known, possibly tougher guy.

    Boxing fan ******ity 101.

He wasn’t. Never was. Still isn’t.

Still a better name, and would generate more interest than Beterbiev. People will tune in to an undefeated Hall of Famer vs a future Hall of Famer who hasn’t lost in 8 years. In a heartbeat. People will be interested to see if Ward’s comeback ends up being ill-advised, and how bad would he lose at 37? Or does he actually pull it off? Does the 37 year old, retired, undefeated Hall of Famer beat the younger guy in his prime and keep his 0?

While Ward is not a big draw like you say, neither is Beterbiev. He’s even less of a draw than Ward.

But Ward is a ****ty enough draw to warrant being critical of Canelo for fighting a 37 year old retired fighter who hasn't fought in four years instead of fighting the champ, after already dropping a belt in that weight class.

I don’t really see the point in this, for anyone other than ward that is. What does canelo gain from fighting a guy who’s been retired for 5 years and can’t draw flies to shyt?

Canelo is at his peak and one of the best p4p fighters in the sport. There are much more interesting matchup than this.

I Give Dre the edge. Well rested and has a style perfect for Canelo.
Do you really believe the BS that comes out you’re mouth.

Canelo is the only one facing top compe and if you don’t consider it too compe then Ward is a straight bum with a weak resume because canelo craps over wards overrated ass.

He’s always been a guy with a thick neck, and thick legs. Canelo has always been the one to drop weight. Canelo walks around at 190, 185. So a lot of people will be very surprised when they step inside the ring and see the minimal difference in size,” De La Hoya said."

Walk around weight isn’t fighting weight. Errol Spence doesn’t fight 180lbs+ nor does Crawford fight at 170lbs+. Omar Figueroa gained some fat in 2015 and was walking around 190lbs+ Yet you see how thin he is in fights.

Cutting and getting fit in camp is just an obstacle to get prepped at optimal level and 90% of fighters aim for the extra protocol to cut water weight for the scale. Part of that is because the business needs the promoted fight and it’s easy for a fight to be ruined; that included in house promotions.

Floyd has always walked around 160lbs+ his post career but when in camp he is prepped and gained about 5+lbs the day of the fight, EASILY! He was always more thin and ripped at the weigh ins. He’s not a “thin” guy by any means and packs muscle in walk around weight.

And regardin the Canelo that fought Floyd that was more camp muscle depletion than the water weight on the scale. Look how crazy he looked at the Liam Smith weigh in

Yea, world beater Smith, Old man Kovalev, slow starter Jacobs & Mayweather like Fielding. LOL. Go fish sista.
AND Ward will MUG/****** Canelo. You’ll be crying after that Ward is “too ruff”. Lol.
