I’m still awaiting an explanation to my query every time someone poses this argument. So here we go again.....

What promoter is going to risk millions securing this fight on a boxer that has shown not to be a true professional? He pissed hot gets stripped. He comes in overweight on the scales(big time overweight) gets stripped again. What boxer or promoter is going to waste money on an undisciplined fighter like this?

They're both with Haymon, Plant and Benevidez. And if Haymon has no problem putting others in there with Benevidez, then there is no problem with him putting him in with Plant. If so, give me a reasonable reason why Haymon wouldn't feel comfortable?

Plant is a step up instead of Clenelos usual old,weak and slow punching bags Smith, li G, kovalev and Fielding. same thing in two weeks then saunders.

Smith, Plant, Canelo and a multitude of fighters were always in the gym last year through out the pandemic keeping in shape and keeping busy. There's a ton of pictures on social media of these guys training through out last year, and the Canelo vs Plant, vs Smith were fights that promoters were trying to put together all of last year. But when it comes to signing a contract, everyone wants to say these guys had Short notice. Give me a break, these dudes were already training, already knew Canelo was looking for an opponent, it's not short notice, that's the excuse fighters and some fans want to use, and if it was so called " Short notice" for Plant and Smith, if that's the excuse you want to use, it's also short notice for Canelo as well, it's a two way street, not one way. I'll believe Plant when he signs the contract for September if Canelo gets passed his next two fights.

I´ll explain to you.....sure, the risk of the money, OK. Well at least Plant should publicly admit it. " Hey guys, I´m afraid Benavidez is gonna beat me up and worse if he is overweight, therefore I prefer not to fight him ".

Canelo didn't want to fight Andrade period. Andrade was asked at the last minute by Matchroom a few weeks before the Kovalev deal was done if he was willing to fight Canelo at a low price (millions less than Jacobs got) and Andrade immediately agreed because he didn't want to miss the opportunity and figured he would make up the money on the rematch if he beat him.

Within a few days Golden Boy announced a deal with Kovalev instead. I don't think they expected Andrade to take the low offer! Then they didn't know what to do so they jumped up to 175 instead for an easier fight.

Word is that Canelo got several million dollars less for Kovalev than he was offered by DAZN to fight Andrade!

Not sure where you heard this but Canelo gets his guarantee no matter what. A fight against Andrade made no financial sense to DAZN/GBP so that is most likely why that fight never got made. There is no way the Andrade fight would have made more money than Kovalev. Andrade is barely known even by hard core fans. He is boring to watch and is not promoted well enough for casuals to know who he is.

From what almost everyone and there mom have been saying is that DAZN was very strict with who they were allowing Canelo to fight because they were under contract to pay him 35 mil a fight. Which is why he eventually ended his contract with them and GBP.

Benevidez is to blame for missing weight and snorting Charlie, but being honest, do you think Caleb would have fought him without those situations arising? Because i don't. It's just convenient he has excuses to why the fight isn't happening. Just look at the trash he fights. It's actually embarrassing. Caleb has been all talk towards Benevidez. It's all talk with anyone world level.

I hear what you're saying, but if Plant gets the Canelo fight, he did the right thing. Plenty of time to fight Benavidez after he hits the Canelo sweepstakes. I would rather see Benavidez fight Canelo, but he made his bed.

You telling me Canelo gots 2 fights booked & is trying to book a 3rd as we speak? Honestly that sounds like a recipe for disaster. Idk how you can avoid not thinking ahead to some degree with 3 fights booked.
