Taking that Spence fight was a huge gamble. Not taking the Danny Garcia fight way back when was also a big mistake. Covid hasn't helped things. Mikey's career may never recover. He's been so inactive, he might wanna consider retiring.

man what happened to this guy.... After Bob screwed him over and took those years from him, he has been nothing but delusional at best.

He thinks Spence is going to rematch him???? He thinks he can beat Ugas ??? What is this guys smoking ???

He needs to go down to 135 and take on lopez, loma, and all the other guys around that weight and make some real meaningful fights before his time is up (which is getting real close)... right now he is looking more like Chavez jr every time he opens his mouth with that nonsense...

135-140max is his weight class. Be great there and stop wasting time. Or be like chavez Jr and be a waste to boxing in your prime..

mikey is boring and he is too small, has too little power for 147 plus he is pretty slow. on top of all that he is inactive and blows up between fights so i dont know how much a struggle going back to 140 will be, hes really wrecked himself now that he cant boil down to 135-140 anymore where he could hold a size advantage and have power

he wants to use his name and social media notoriety to get another big name fight but people know now he will just stink out the joint and fight to survive if placed in there with a guy that is too much for him

Y'all drunk. I can't even read half this garbage. As one poster said, y'all don't have any clue how good Mikey really is..... the 135 talk is ridiculous tho. That ship has sailed. But before we continue to judge off bull**** talk, let's see where he ends up with his next fight if he ever fights again. I'm a realist. His star power has dimmed. And things aren't looking good for him right now. But he's a 4 division champ with one loss. Get over yourselves with the "Mikey sucks" talk.

He is wasting time with Pac. So I can agree with some of you. But for those of you saying he's a "boring fighter", what the hell do you want from a guy?! He's knocked down like 5 of his last 7 opponents. That's excitement! And at the elite level, knockdowns and KO rates fall. Is Spence KOing every elite he fights? No. Is anyone?! It's not the same when the best fight the best. Mikey has THE best 1-2 in the game. Hands down and its not even close. I admit he telegraphs it often. But it's deadly, and a thing of beauty. If you don't like Mikey's 1-2, you aren't a real fight fan. You just wanna hate **** just to hate it.

He can’t make 135. He’s been eating good and he’s too comfortable financially now lol.

There is something to be said for staying active...just ask GRJ. Mikey is on that schedule lately. Been almost a year since he fought. Was almost a year since he last fought Vargas.

I just don't know that Mikey cares THAT much about boxing so staying active might be more than he's willing to do &/or its a bigger risk cuz he dgaf about random ass fights as much as the bigger names with some bigger checks where him showing up or not don't really matter. And fair play to the guy. This is not usually a sport you wanna continue doing with the same intensity once you got the bank account looking ***y &/or got other side things going on making you money.

His lack of fight against Spence turned off a lot of people. We all watched as he only fought to last 12. It takes more than one comeback fight to make people care again and inactivity is not helping him.

I agree 100% on the Errol fight & the inactivity. Don't disagree with you so much on the making people care again with 1 comeback fight as much as I think it's possible even if it's probably unlikely for various reasons.

But at this point, he's done as a fighter as hes been out of the ring, for how long now? Hes speaks well and is handsome enough to do color commentating. Would be a good niche for him if he decided to go that route.
I agree with all that except him being a champion at 140. He’s just to small IMO.

Hell nobody is clamoring for mickey to fight. Dude can retire and no one would notice
Thats funny Floyd had already beat him and retired when Manny fought a big bite of cherry pie actually Manny has lots of cherry pie both sides of losing to Floyd.

Mikey would generate at least the same money as all the B graders Manny selected to fight and Mikey beat Vargas way better than Manny did, and there is the point that Mikey wasnt scared to face Spence where Manny is, Mikey called Spence out and went at it, Manny ran from Spence after telling how he could beat him.

Mikey didnt bow to Haymon he wanted Spence badly because he thought he could beat him, that fight was 100% all Mikeys doing.

It was Manny that contacted Mikey in the beginning according to Robert, I really dont understand how you make excuses for every thing Manny does and somehow Floyd gets the blame your agenda is so clear to see.

Mikey's ducking of Vasiliy Lomachenko has left his career in a tailspin. He leaped two weight classes in order to avoid him. He should have stayed at 135.
