He should have done this before Canelo/BJS was announced.

If he is going to drop it then why even pay sanctioning fees to fight for it in the first place. Waste of money.Comment

He wants to become the first Mexican to be undisputed, to hold all four belts.
Andrade wants it, then he can fight Plant in May and meet Canelo in September. Otherwise, he's going to be waiting another year.Comment

At this point if he wants that big payday he'd be better off fighting a bunch of soft mandos regularly, look great doing it, and build his record to more than 40 and 0 then maybe he can garner some interest from bigger names.
I doubt he'll be able to worm his way into a big payday since he has no real notable wins as is stands and hardly anyone other than hardcore fans knows who he is even though he has been a pro since like 2008.Comment

He said he wanted a fight with BJS in December. He could of had both and also had something Canelo wanted when he beat BJS and took his belt.
Now he's gonna try to force a fight that Canelo never wanted and that poses no reward for Canelo... I'm pretty sure he is smarter than that.. He knows this won't do anything to secure a Canelo fight.Comment

As others have pointed out, it could go something like this:
Canelo beats Saunders for the WBO, Andrade evokes his mandatory position the next morning like he says. Canelo could then fight Plant because a unification for undisputed would take precedence over a mandatory defence. After beating Plant for the last belt, Canelo could vacate the WBO. Unless I'm missing something (which I might well be)Comment
