Andrade claims he will enforce WBO 168 mandatory on May 9th

Andrade can enforce his mandatory now or later but Canelo will have no use for the WBO by then. He only cares about WBO belt so he can fight Plant to call himself undisputed. After he beats Saunders and Plant to become Undisputed he is fighting whoever he wants regardless of weight or belts. WBO is not going to stop him from fighting Plant next regardless of what Andrade does. The earliest they might mandate is after Plant. Canelo is not fighting mandatories when he's Undisputed so Canelo won't care if the WBO mandates he fight Andrade or what any of the other belts mandate he will vacate the belt if they mandate he fight someone he doesn't care about fighting.

I agree. This has a 1% chance of working. But understand Andrade's frustration. He was scheduled to face BJS & lost a fight due to BJS failing a PED test. Couldn't get GGG, Munguia, nor Canelo when he was still at middleweight. Had another shot at Saunders but Hearn went well Canelo vs Saunders

Eddie saying Plant & Benavidez should fight each other should also apply to Andrade and BJS. They could have made it on the undercard of Canelo's next fight and the winner faces him.

But instead Andrade faces Williams next. Good fight but really does nothing for his career at this point. But then again he did say no one else is gonna pay him millions to fight the Luke Keeler's of the world so this is what he chose
