Plant puts up good numbers. I remember being really shocked by how many people tuned in to watch him fight Uzi on a Sunday during the NFL season

Nah, Truax was not capable of landing a hail mary punch. He was barely able to land ANY punches at that point.
It's okay, in cases like this, I will fully take my risk of watching something else even if a late stunning KO takes place. There were no signs of that happening or Plant fading to the point it was possible.Comment

Nah, Plant does good ratings even without being linked to Canelo.
Honestly, there was really no reason to change the thread title. Be fair with listing the average for the entire show. And I included the peak number as well.Viewers were interested in watching Caleb Plant fight Saturday night, even though he was a huge favorite over mandatory challenger Caleb Truax. I'm sure it didn't hurt, but I've been told that Fox isn't cable and this is why they always get better numbers thsan ESPN, Showtime etc.
Anyways, good for the sport. TV fights are the solution, but its been said for at least 20 years now.Comment

Yeah fox seems to always get good numbers because imo they have good lead ins. If the prior show had 2 million average viewers a good chuck will just keep it on that channel.
ESPN boxing is on some app with no lead in at all and when it is on cable they channel hop from espn 2 than midway through the card they hop over to espn or vice versa so they just shoot themselves in the foot every time there.Comment
