Actually no. ESPN, especially during college football season has far better lead ins. Not all their fights are on ESPN+. We never get those ratings anyways.

I mean, there was NO College Football or NFL for starters to compete with. It would also make sense that this would be PBC on FOX's biggest ratings in a year considering there was much of nothing in 2020 due to Covid (as far as fights on the actual Network).

I thought it was a good fight as well. It was a tactical fight that to me highlighted Plant's boxing IQ. Some may think it was a boring fight because it wasn't a beatdown type of fight.

I doubt that fight does anything north of 500K honestly. Canelo is the "cash cow" technically but he doesn't have the pulse of the "Casuals" unless the B side is a REAL threat and or has a name himself (GGG, Floyd, Cotto, Chavez, Jr).

The real boxing fans can appreciate the fighters who aren't knocking people out but able to avoid taking damage while inflicting damage in their own right. I enjoy a knockout like the rest of everybody but a great chess match with action is just fine by me too.

Yeah i agree with that. Also how they downplayed truax and were expecting a ko and i guess it disappointed them cause it went to the scorecards

Been saying Plant is a star even though as a fighter he’s very mediocre. His complexion and good looks save him. His personality is also extremely dull, then again Hector Camacho is the G.O.A.T to me so that’s the persons I’m into.

                    Benavidez whom I
Don’t rank highly just yet mollywhops him and Canelo KO’s him vicious.

Is he though? I'm not knockin the guy and I really like his story but are him and Canelo REALLY going to produce a BIG PPV if and when they fight as it concerns Plant's "star power" adding to Canelo's? I'm someone who's always thought Canelo needs a big B side opponent to hit those 900K-1 Mill marks but I don't know if Plant right now is that guy...though I still think he lands that fight in the Fall.
