I was simply replying to Saunders. Apparently, he and Tyson Fury consider Irish Travelers as gypsies. I personally think of Gypsies as people of Romani descent who call themselves Roma but people also use the term to mean a wanderer. Maybe that is where the Irish Travelers fit in as "Gypsies".
No you’re right they are wrong. That miss use of wording is wrong. If you called Tyson a Romani person he would flip. The uk and the rest of Europe are trying to kick all of the Romani ppl out. “Gypsies” well
Atleast the dark skin ones.Comment

That is a sad situation. I guess if the Roma were blond and blue-eyed they would not be hassled in Ireland and the rest of Europe.Comment

Anthony Joshua posted a cryptic Instagram story slide on Monday night, which many believe was intended as a message for Tyson Fury. The heavyweight champions met in person last month as they shared…
BJS is proud of his Romani roots and often carries the Romani flag into the ring, Travelers like Fury sometimes use that same flag themselves. See the article I linked to.
In the UK, both those ethnic groups identify as Gypsies and basically share the same culture, including a love of bare knuckle boxing, both as a sport and as a way for men and boys to settle beefs.
BJS is not one of the people you're talking about in the bolded. The clan, or whatever you want to call it, that he belongs to, are Brits with Romani roots. Like I said before, they have been in the UK for centuries and are UK citizens with UK passports, so nobody is trying to kick them out.Last edited by kafkod; 02-02-2021, 06:20 PM.Comment

They are not hassled because of complexion or eye colour. Most of them are dirt poor, destitute people with no trades, no skills and no education, who migrated all over Europe after Bulgaria and Romania joined the EU. And sadly, many of them do what poor, uneducated immigrants often do when they wind up in in a foreign country and can't get work, which is turn to crime.Comment

BJS has too much fighting pride to sell his 0 to anybody. He already proved that by refusing to fight Canelo unless he got as much time as he needed to prepare. Whatever happens, he will turn up looking for a win, not a payday.Comment

There are around 300,000 Gypsy Roma and Irish Travellers in the UK – Roma Gypsies are originally from northern India, whereas Travellers are of Irish origin – and both groups are nomadic. Since 2002, Travellers have been recognised as an ethnic group and are protected under the Race Relations Act.
Now if he’s roma gypsies then he’s not a Irish traveler and indeed he is part of the dark skin Gypsies that do get oppressed maybe he’s mixed.Comment
