    Tight fight.

Joe lacks that one punch KO power. He is a swarmer.

    Canelo has power, and defence.

    Hmmmm

If you put a gun to my head, I would say Canelo wins by TKO in 11th

They were more past prime than Calzaghe was when those fights took place. So you think the 2003 version of Calzaghe getting dropped hard by Byron Mitchell beats Canelo? Or is prime Calzaghe the one getting a gift over Robin Reid?

Could you imagine Canelo going the distance with a guy like Charles Brewer?

Well if you wanna say it like that dont you think calzaghe would be canelo who got gifts against lara and golovkin who is often called a bum beater yet canelo needed two tries to get the decision. Canelo is the most overrated fighter of all time. Also he wouldn't fight calzaghe without a rehydration clause and same day weigh in. Because paid off judges aren't enough for him

calzaghe was an excellent boxer , i think he could beat canelo via activity...those pitty pat punches would accumulate points and zaghe was one elusive sob himself

I consider Lara and Golovkin to be much better fighters than Robin Reid. And no, I don't think Calzaghe gets a gift win over Canelo or whatever it is that you're trying to imply there.

I'm not even a Canelo fan, I just think Calzaghe is overrated. Most of his record consists of European-level guys. Calzaghe's relevant fights are past prime Chris Eubank, Bernard Hopkins, and Roy Jones; unproven Jeff Lacy, and undefeated Mikkel Kessler. The rest of his resume is basically all filler.

The only thing Canelo might be bothered with by Calzaghe, is his southpaw stance. I don't think any of those fighters I listed are as good as Canelo is right now, though.

Geez you sure rate canelo highly. Canelo really isnt that good. Its hard to see how good he is since hes always putting restrictions on fighters.

Calzaghe is just too much for Canelo.
I didn’t particularly enjoy watching Calzaghe due to his sloppy punching/slapping form but looking back at his fights, he was special. With healthy hands, he could have been more exciting but regardless, he retired undefeated with health intact.

Calzaghe would have ripped Canelo a new one.

Alvarez hasn't fought a really good 175lb or even 168lb guy yet, he's fought some scrubs who had belts

I don't even know how him vs a prime mikkel kessler would go but I know it'd be much harder fight than callum smith

Calzaghe would slap circles around Canelo and black his eyes up!!!...Sad to say but Canelo would get Jeff Lacy’d!!!...
