      • Truax looked like he was just going thru the motions. Seem to remember him being way more active in previous fights. Looked too wary of Plant's power. As for Plant... if we're judging by this performance, a more tricky fighter like Canelo will blast him out or do a wipeout on the scorecards. His next fight will tell a lot as to where he stands in the division. At this stage of his career... I'm certainly not convinced of anything special there. Time will tell.

        • What a boring fight, Plant couldn’t finish off this nobody and talking like he’s the best super middleweight 😂😂 he has no pop no power at all, he’s like a cheap version of D Andrade but with less power, I see Canelo stopping Plant in 6-7 rounds just because he will run all over the ring after he gets hit with a power punch to the body 😁 DOMINANT AND SPECTACULAR STOPPAGE? 😂😂

          • Be sure you look like a dog **** in next fight if you want to fight Canelo in the future.

            • Plant looked impressive, nice left hand, foot work and ring command. That being said, Canelo would have knocked Truax the F—- out by round 2

              • It looks to me like he might have had an injury (Plant).

CompuBox Punch Stats clearly justify the win.

In this time of Covid and inactivity I think going 12 rounds is a good thing.

Plant boxes very nice, quick guy, flashy combinations, good movement and very good ring generalship.

I do see some things that will give Canelo problems without a doubt, still.......there's 2 key factors which make me think he won't stand a chance:

1 His power is not something that will keep Canelo hesitant, so I see Canelo cutting of the ring and putting high level pressure.

2 While his defense is very good he seems to very open to straight rights and doesn't look to react very good to jabs, Truax landed some hard shots that leds me to believe Canelo would land and would do significant more damage.

Great fighter thou, I like what I watched tonight.
I noticed the jabs giving him trouble too, the right hands is because the guy keeps his left so low and gets lazy with the distance and lets guys land flush right hands. Canelo is guy who if you give him a flush shot like that he can definitely hurt you or even Ko you.

Plant is very good early, I see his fight with Canelo being close for the first 6-8 rounds. After that Plant fades a bit and Canelo takes over and either stops him or just beats the crap out of him while Plant survives to a clear decision loss.

Still would be one of the better tests at 168, Plant gives anyone from 160-168 a good fight. I don't see him being blown out by anyone. I would favor him over anyone not named Canelo or Benavidez. And I think a fight between Plant and Benavidez could go either way.

                    • Another soft touch for Clenelo. Maybe in 2022 Clenelo will fight someone who can crack.
