I think this was a good fight, Stiverne landed the bigger punches, but Bryan was more effective with his jabs and he could manage that KO-win too.

    But..

Bryan wouldn't have any chance against that Stiverne between 2010-2015, or that Arreola.
He is just 31 years old, but slow, Stiverne could hit him more times easily.

I liked Stiverne. He was a great talent, gifted an extrem handspeed, but too short for the tall guys (Klicsko, Wilder, Fury).
A Povetkin vs Stiverne would be very great fight around 2014-2015.

God bless, Bermane, i hope, you stay healthy
An in shape stiverne from several years ago was actually a heavy handed and quick fisted fighter with A stout chin. He’s just never been the same after that 12 round beating at the hands of Wilder which I might add was the last time Wilder actually looked like a good boxer....

This WBA **** is unvalievable. Stiverne fought 2 years ago and Lost by Joyce and now he get Title shot. Omg. And Bryan has longer inactivity. Good is that, than interim title has gone now.

But do you think Kownacki vs Helenius was eliminator? And they are better boxers like these old bums. Helenius is mandatory. He has to.

Yes how much money was wired to Dr. Mendoza's bank account to get this fight sanctioned for even a secondary title.

The WBA is in Panama for a reason and it's to avoid federal oversight. Mendoza jr is lucky he isn't sitting in cell next to El Chapo.

Shout out to Bermane Stiverne, I know he gets disrespected a lot by these fair weather fans but I truly appreciate what he’s done in the ring and what he tried to do!

He stopped a fighter that Vitali Klitschko couldn’t knockout to become world champion an unfortunately for him he fell victim to a bad style match up with a young Wilder who took his title an then added him to a highlight reel!

Stiverne had it all but fast feet an the size, he can always say he was world champion an hopefully he invested his earnings so he don’t have to keep
          fighting!

Thank you for the entertaining years Stiverne and even at your expense!

Not for any legitimate slot in the rankings or what have you but Stiverne was in good shape and while he ate a lot of jabs, he used decent head movement and landed some hard rights.

Trevor Bryan now has some version of the WBA belt, but anyone in the top 15-20 would crush him.
If stiverne ever was I’m good shape it shows just how bad he is.....and for that matter questions wilder a lot given the first fight,

No chance he invested his earnings, he would be lucky to have grossed more than a few million dollars and that gets cut up with his team and then he pays his taxes he would be lucky to have made 1 million after everybody but him has been paid, and then he has to live on that and save money.

Why do you think he is 42 and fighting and getting his head handed to him by a lower level of opponent.

The funny thing about this is that Stiverne is in Wilders top 3 wins 🎣🎣

It’s hard to judge Stiverne. His best win was Chris Arreola and his best attribute in his prime was a strong chin.

I used to think he was a decent fighter but I never subscribe to the “he got beaten by x and lost all his abilities” argument you sometimes see. He struggled against Derric Rossy.

Most likely the simplest solution is the correct one. He was never particularly good in the first place and he’s worse now.
