I would say it has to do more with haymon being in bed with suliaman that actually doing all of that for them. I always thought porter was the black sheep of them. It seemed like they tried to screw porter against broner with the catchweight only for the catchweight to be changed to 147 since broner couldn't make weight.

But like i said i would be ****ing surprised if they actually make spencer-ugas. The ppv would bomb and it would be a **** fight
Nah, I think they'll make Spence vs Ugas and for two good reasons imo:
    1) A nice payday to Ugas for being a "good soldier"
    2) To test if Spence is now big enough to sell 250k'ish PPV on the back of his sole popularity.
If so, with 3 belts around his waist, you can imagine how negotiations would now go with Bud and TR.
    60/40 would turn into....who knows!

I'm not big on conspiracy theories but the same way that TR is in bed with the WBO, I wonder what backdoor dealings happened between Haymon and the WBA to have PacMan named "Champion in Recess".
When you think about it, Haymon and PBC still benefit from the situation because a PBC fighter got elevated. PacMan was stalling the division to no benefit to PBC at the moment with an outside chance of fighting Bud.

By the same token, how hard is Arum working for the WBO not to call the mandatory?

I hear you but I don't even pay attention to these belts. Might mean something to someone else but I only care to see good fights. I've seen plenty of them that didn't involve a strap.

That being said the belts and the corrupt sanctioning bodies need to disappear.

Just an idea, I'm sure everyone here is knowledgeable about the sport and these ridiculous titles floating around. How about we all the secondary titlists "unify" and we'll get a undisputed secondary champion lmao I'm gonna stop giving input as joking because it eventually happens I just want the WBC to create a new belt titled"champion of the Galaxy"

          1) Idk about that. I think they already kind of thanked him by feeding him omar and taking his 0 and build some momentum. But ugas crapped the bed and made the fight so boring and forgettable. He has no one to blame but himself. The guy is just unmarketable.

2)That seems kind of risky. Even if it does hit the mark the fight will not be good considering ugas style. Either the fight will do good ppv numbers but the fight will suck or both ppv and fight suck.
Yeah 3 belts would definitely drag out the negotiations.

haha yeah i understand the backdoor deals but i dont think pacquiao cares about the belt honestly. It's not like he needs it he could fight anyone he wants with or without a belt.

I think thats what arum is working on. Him and de la hoya had a meeting to see when ortiz-crawford could happen. I assume

I can't wait to see what the "Powers that be" have in store for the 147lbs division in 2021/2022.

It's so sad that boxing has turned into a sport that kind of forces even its hardcore fans to be busier speculating on what happens outside the ring than what happens inside the ring.

Spence vs ugas or crawford vs ugas which is most likely to happen next i say to keep the division busy with quality fights porter vs crawford spence vs thurman ugas vs garcia pac vs the other garcia pac doing a crossover vs masdival or possibly mcgregor if get on 2 win streak. Hopefully n hopefully real champs vs champs . im reallu seeing ugas vs thurman cause thurman wants belt back n wants to make the most $ vs say a spence or crawford

Manny Pacquiao wants an exhibition with Ryan Garcia.

He would rather let himself get stripped of the WBA title than defend it.

Which makes you question why he went for it in the first place, but regardless:

If this were ANY other fighter, you know you guys would be giving them the business.

But since it's Manny he gets a pass on what is CLEARLY ducking the best in his division.
Maybe has to do with the fact that he’s old as f^ck and no longer on the same level playing field as these younger guys. Just like we gave Floyd a pass. He coulda fought Brook, Thurman, Porter etc. but instead chose Berto & then McGregor.

Floyd and Pac do get special passes because they earned it. Them fighting in their 40s is a bonus. Let these young cats fight each other

Idk man to me, the belts just don’t mean anything anymore. They just don’t tell an accurate story of who’s who and what’s what these days. We know Pacs an ATG who shoulda been out years ago but he’s still here and managed to win a legit title.

But then we got Bud and Spence. No clear evidence to show who’s the actual top dawg. They both have belts. Spence because of his promotional affiliation has had easier access to title shots. Now we have Ugas who kinda just came outta no where in the last few years, he’s champ now.

So we got four belts at ww, 3 champions and no top dog. Does anyone else feel completely ****** explaining this to their curious casual friends who ask “who’s the champ of this or that division?”
