Ugas beat Ramos fair and square for his WBA Regular.

Manny ducked defending his title for two years.

Ugas being elevated is because he was already in line for it.

It seems to only be "strapseason" when fighters other than Bud are holding out belts!

Now, Bud is definitely not getting Pac now or Spence for that matter. So he sits out until October'ish (when is contract is supposed to be up) or the WBO throws him a lifeboat by ordering his mandatory, Shawn Porter? Might be another very subpar year for Bud unfortunately!

So this opens the way for Spence vs Ugas or Crawford vs Ugas. If Crawford really wants that 50-50 or wants to make an argument for 60-40 his way he needs to get in on the Ugas fight to try to get another strap.

Or imagine they did a co-feature PPV like the Charlo brothers did and had Spence-Ugas headline on end while Crawford-Porter or Crawford- Thurman headlined the other

I would be flabbergasted if the fight between spencer and ugas happens. They trying to hype up spencer as this big ppv star and yet he wont even sell with ugas. I'll be watching what happens in the coming weeks

I hear you but TR would have to pay Ugas an absurd amount of money for to risk that WBA belt (now that it has been upgraded) leaving the PBC "ecosystem". For that amount of money, TR would be better off trying to pay Shawn, Keith or Danny to come over and fight Bud.

It's like Haymon took care of Ugas after his narrow loss to Shawn (who refused to grant him a rematch) by lining him up for a secondary WBA belt and now with a chance for a nice payday vs Spence now that the belt has been upgraded. I can't be mad at Ugas though!
Hate it or love it, Haymon has been very good to Porter, Keith, Danny, Spence and Ugas by lining them up for opportunities at belts and nice paydays.

Oh yeah im with you on that. No point of crawford-ugas. I wouldn't be surprised if haymon let ugas consider hes a no name to the casuals and boring af.

I would say it has to do more with haymon being in bed with suliaman that actually doing all of that for them. I always thought porter was the black sheep of them. It seemed like they tried to screw porter against broner with the catchweight only for the catchweight to be changed to 147 since broner couldn't make weight.

But like i said i would be ****ing surprised if they actually make spencer-ugas. The ppv would bomb and it would be a **** fight
