But it was fine until these young whippersnappers did it right?
The major difference is these circus fights are the biggest fights in the sport now. Ali/Inoki etc was not.

I would not class Mayweather vs Mcgregor as a circus fight.

I also disagree with circus fights being the biggest fights in the sport, for who? They may have a market that attracts casual lemmings, but so do iPhone's and those silly electric scooters.

People need to stop letting lemmings affect their lives, lemmings will like whatever they like 'Leave them to it'.

Why are Manny fans making multiple threads blaming Floyd for manny copying his every move?

Is manny his own man? If so, then he and only he is responsible for his actions. Instead, manny fans make Floyd responsible as if he is Manny’s daddy or role model.

Floyd has proven to be financially successful in retirement. Manny, as he did late in Floyd’s career, is now just copying whatever Floyd did hoping to make as much money.

Notice that he never quite does that.

Manny behaves like one of Floyd’s b-tches. Time to stop that and be your own man.

I don't think we have a choice but to accept it. It brings eyes to the sport and, deep down, that's what we want. That's how proper fights get made - a bigger audience. The fighters expect their pay to grow and the only way that happens is if the sport expands.

Just choose what you watch and don't worry what the YouTube fans are paying for.

Blame the Boomers and X-ers who shell out $50 to watch two flabby old men spar because clinging to their hypejob heroes of yesteryear beats admitting that boxing is an international sport and all the best heavyweights are not hiding away in the NFL.

Blame the promoters for 30 years of bad events driving the fans away. Look up posts from a decade ago to see the regret of fans buying Mayweather vs Ortiz, Pac vs Mosley, Bernard Hopkins vs Anybody. Robberies, sparring sessions, and otherwise terrible cards that leave less people coming back for more.

Blame Mayweather vs Pacquiao for its nonexistent undercard. Blame Canelo for refusing to learn English. Blame casual sports fans and the media for ignoring good fights. Blame Dana White for the mentally handicapped "in a street fight you'd be dead" cult he created. Blame Thurman for failing to knockout Porter with 5 million people watching and losing to a 40 year old Pacquiao.

Jake Paul is not the problem. He is a 2-0 professional fighter whose fans are willing to pay to see him fight. If he retired tomorrow it would not add one more viewer to these "real" boxers.

Making broad all encompassing statements shows a lot about you.
Yes sir. i was about to say the same thing. Ali vs the wrestler started this. However, Floyd glorified it because McGregor was kind of their floyd too. They just happened to cross paths when both were popular (? actually most fans wanted to root against both and hoped both would lose). That was good timing. Now all the Instagram/youtube sesnation stuff has taken over. So this has been building longer than most think.

I'd rather watch these freak shows than watch "top level" boxers beat bums than start shouting A side this A side that and how they are P4P kings.

Mmm it was on the down slightly before that then floyd mayweather when went from pretty boy floyd to money may accelerated boxings downward spiral. Yes great business for mayweather and people involved but bad for boxing model while fighters deserve just pay now everyone is on the milk your record only take an l as a cash out or now everyone wants 25m for a fight from wilfer to crawford vs n evem spence n ggg. The shhh dont work or justify when cant even sale above 500k to n thats to break even let alone 1plus million. Mayweather vs Mcgregor was the ambulance driving a wounded person the hospital. But aimt kill it actually gave boxing a lil bit of energy to market for mma in the usa n west is the new premier combat sport. So it aint kill boxing what killed boxing is the paul brothers once they got more hype more pay for there bullshi.t more than any boxer not names canelo aj fury. Crazy world i can see if the paul brothers pulled a greg hardy but no atleast hardy is serious the paul brothers are a joke dont fight real comp n doing it for $ aye capitalism take advantage but bs
