Floyd vs McGregor was the beginning of the end for professional prize fighting

The cat is out of the bag now: people will care more about freakshow fights than top level boxing competition.

Ali fought a pro footballer back in the day but it never caught on. Now YouTube wankdogs will be picking the pockets of real fighters. Very sad to see.

McGregor vs floyd wasn’t a YouTube fight so although it was an exhibition I don’t think it really was the start of the YouTube sensation.

If people want to pay for these fights though then leave that to them. Many on here bought the Tyson fight a month or two back, that’s the choice of that individual.

I think floyd fans was part of that reason because they support, defend and justified floyd action on why that the macgregor fight should happen.

So? I'm saying it was the beginning of the end.

Top level boxing, the most skilled fighters, will take a back seat to freak show fights

Agreed. It is only going to to get worse. New young fans are growing up thinking these YouTubers are actual good boxers. The glory days are gone.

Ali fighting exhibitions against professional wrestlers was a circus.

Foreman fighting exhibitions against 5 consecutive tomato cans was a circus.

But it was fine until these young whippersnappers did it right?

Well who moves the needle, boxing had a ton of potential stars who didn't become big stars because from 2009-2015 all the talk was Floyd vs Manny. Now you get upset because the youtubers are the cash cows now, and believe me I watched Maravilla, the Punisher, S.O.G. the Krusher and Superman, and I thought all of them should've had more fans and money fights. But with Cotto, Canelo and many others being Floyd or Manny leftovers no one cared and Cotto dispatched an ancient Maravilla the stock plummeted. Boxing did this to itself, it chose to be a joke of a sport and now with other combat sports it struggling to find a niche after monopolizing the sport scene. Maybe kids will use youtubers to want to watch real fights but who knows

You're just dreamer boy. I guess you're leaving under the basement doing some googling on every place of the earth and imagining that you leave in that place.

Your daughter was probably a whore in the bar.
