I do not want to face a Mexican, unless they have a very famous last name that can generate me money and they must also agree to a ridiculous catch weight that includes half a pound and they must preferably be a coke head. His sudden interest in the wbc belt at 168 only after Benavidez was out of the picture is proof of that.

Canelo could fight that other Mexican fighter who has flown under the radar, Gilberto Ramirez. Canelo is better but that's not a bad fight.

At super middleweight, he should fight the other champs, but I'd prefer seeing him against Charlo and Andrade at 168lbs, and of course Benavidez.

He will only fight Mexicans he can beat. Now that Benevidez is in the same weight class he will use this excuse until he retires. I just don't know how there are so many Canelo fans. Bought judges that give him lopsided scorecards in his favor ( Lara, Mayweather, Trout, Ggg) Makes up his own weight class 155 for about 5 fights the excuse was he couldn't make 154 anymore. Lies and says he can't fight Ggg due to not being able to make 160, then fights for a 160 pound belt against Cotto at 155 . Pays ggg step aside money guarantees ggg he will fight him next by signing a contract, breaks that promise he signed and MAGICALLY HE CAN MAKE 154 POUNDS AGAIN, and the excuse was he isn't a 160 pound fighter, now making 154 is no longer an issue, goes down to 154 pounds and instead of fighting #1 rated Fighter Charlo, #2 Charlo, #3 Andrade , he opts to fight #4 Liam Smith. Weight bullies Amir Khan then he can now magically go up to 164 to fight at a catchweight when he said he wasnt a 160 pounder, EVERYONE that isn't a Casual Canelo fan knows this was all to AGE GGG 2 more years. Yes Floyd and Pac fought at catchweights here and there but Canelo took it to another LEVEL. HE HAD 3 times as many catchweight fights , Rehydration clauses to weight drain the opponent, at least 1 judge giving him lopsided victories in a hand full of fights , cheated and was caught failing 2 drug tests for clen, and constantly ducks the fights that don't favor his style. Yes he's a excellent and exceptional fighter but it's hard to root for him when he's guilty of all of this. Now he won't fight Mexicans due to wanting to stay away from Benevidez. Yes everyone is guilty of ducking here and there but Canelo has taken it to a whole new level. Yet people stick up for Canelo until the very end. There was a time I watched Canelo and rooted for him to beat Mayweather but when all this NONSENSE STARTED HE EASILY BECAME THE FIGHTER I JUST CANT ROOT for due to all these deceiving antics. Cheating , bought judges, and 2 suspect fights that looked as if the fighters took a dive. That's a whole other subject. I believe Canelo has a fan friendly style and is very talented however the match ups favor his style making him look much better. I'll be honest, I would of had more respect for Canelo and would of rooted for him as I did before all this if he fought everyone, had 3 more losses on his record and didn't pull all this nonsense. I believe those that feel the way I feel would actually like him if it weren't for all these antics. If he fought 95% of all put in front of him but had 3 more losses boxing fans would respect him much more. This is why true boxing fans have more respect for the Chavez seniors, Eric Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez's.
